Castaway camp hammock. The Xl one. It's rated for larger folks. Says up to 300 lbs. Not bad for $35 shipped.
On a serious note.......if any of you are planning on shooting anything, or being around the shooters, you might want to bring some hearing protection, eye protection and a hat with some type of brim. Just a suggestion for those of you that might not know.![]()
the grand trunk skeeter beater pro isn't bad from what I hear and is rated for 400 pounds -- they run about $80.
If need be, I can bring plenty of ear pro again.
Cool, I've been looking for a good one with a built in bug net for us big folks without going up into the $250 range. Seems kind of hard to find.
Wow.......
Looks as if thereis gonna be waaaay too much fun.......I will be back in Vonore next tuesday.......Will have plenty time to do a clean and burn and get the giant crabgrass (24 in tall) and the poke mowed down.........John and Megan, And I are already planning food.......gonna maybe do a braised pork stew on friday and if there are no strenuous objections.....Macleid's Rockcastle Chili on Saturday.......
Looks to be a great crew and a rollicking good time.........Yeah..........

Everyone please note, NO ONE OBJECTS TO THE CHILI!
I'll go ahead and bring my other one too, let you try it out. It's a Mil-Surp jungle hammock. I used it last time no real issues except the included hoop broke, but Eric(k?) said it looked like it was never welded in the first place.
I solved that this time by buying a set of ratchet straps.

I agree.......but I think we need to double the usual amount of ingredients!
I've got a little problem with the chili...
Can we make it a little spicier this time?????
You guys should be thankful I'm not going, I loves me some chili...
Last year was planned around my son's B-Day (so I no go) this year we planned a trip to Florida so naturally you guys plan it again when I can't go, I'm beginning to think maybe I should cash in my BH number as it seems no one wants me there..![]()
don't forget the mid-continent mini-gathering at my place Nov 9-11.
