OG Fiddlebacks

Here's my oldies:

That Culy Q Karda Bro!!!

Lots of goodness there! I am especially digging the three finger joe with the scandi grind!

That's actually a Bow Legged Belt Knife. I'm not a huge scandi fan, but it does show off the spalting very nicely.

It is hard to put into words how much I enjoy going through the old posts and looking at all the fiddlebacks Andy has made. I look at some of the older ones and think, man, where is that knife now? I wish I could get my hands on some of them and a few I have. Today I received a very special older fiddleback in the mail. I found the original post and it looks to be a knife from blade show 2010. The fiddleback arete in scandi is probably my all time favorite fiddleback. Next would be the kephart in convex in case you were wondering.

Here is the original listing on the arete-

"Beautiful Arete wearing stabalized spalted Maple that is really outstanding. $230 shipped with sheath. Sold"

I paid $360 on another forum. It came with a sheath but I don't think it was the original sheath. It feels amazing in the hand and I think it was pretty much unused. I feel bad for the fiddlebacks that survived for so long unused until they get to me. This one I will use.

That is one the coolest handles I have seen yet.

Hmm, one of these looks quite familiar :)

Hmmmm.....I wonder which one it could be....:)

Awesome thread and beautiful knives guys.

I don't have any OG Fiddlebacks myself but I've been on the lookout for this one for a while:

I think it is one of the first Bushboots Andy made?

I would still love to periodically see a batch of old school knives. I'm a huge fan of the early styles. I know the early designs have all been updated and refined. They don't compare to Andy's current abilities. That is to be expected but who doesn't want to own a muscle car today? A car from the 60's can't compare to the modern technology and advancements in today's auto industry but who doesn't want to take an old Chevelle, Mustang or Charger out for a run on a summer evening. You can go back to your comfortable, fuel efficient driver in the morning but nothing today can compare to the sound and feel of old school muscle. I can say the same of Andy's old school style. Fiddleback muscle! :)

Some early "batch for sale" pics from the early years (pages) of the forum. These are what I would love to see an old school run of. I can only imagine these styles made with the skills sets of the Fiddleback Forge team today.

Again I love the current Fiddlebacks as they are some of the best customs anywhere but these old blades will never go out of style.

These are sexy!!!

My favorite Muk design!

Wow Phillip! That is exciting to see. I'll be watching for the Muk on the far right if it happens. :)

:eek::eek::eek: I call dibs on a Muk!!!

I call upon Poseidon and all of his sea creatures (Specifically the Sharks) to grant me the strength and speed to claim what is rightfully mine (OG Muk) during whichever Friday post this may appear

In all seriousness, this is cool.
