I didn't he got banned, but yeah I ordered a sheath for my 10 back in February, he said it would take a little longer because he didn't have one on hand but I was ok with that, yeah the wait sucked but my only real complaint about the whole thing was the lack of communication at time

This cracked me up... Special Forums Operation Delta!

Thats funny Lee!!

Spike, leave the flats coated, strip down to the edge... It would look pretty sweet on a machax.

I did that to my chopweiler, i like it... Next machax i get i will probably do like that as well. Keeps the handle and spine of the knife protected from oxidation, less friction in use since the main area used is stripped... And just looks cool IMO.

That looks awesome WW, I'll defintly try that first, I just hope it's not to scratched up to look good

Thanks bud. I used a sanding block... It took a while but i like how it came out. That knife was all scratched up, its been used really hard, but after a lot of elbow grease i made it shine... Really i only did it so i could see the temper line on it... But then i liked how it looked LOL

But on a 'Chax i bet it would really look cool!!

I did the same on my 9, I used a flat xacto blade, it was the old coating though, don't know if it will work on the new stuff.

I used a razor blade on an older BK14 before when i just stripped the blade.

The coating on the chopweiler is thicker and coarser. I tried a razor blade at first with it since it worked well on the 14 but it wasnt working out for me. It might be the same with the new becker coatings... But i dont know for sure. The sanding block took a couple hours per side for me to get the coating off and shine it up a little.

When I stripped my Beckers with the newer coating I just scrapped it off with a putty knife and then went at it with a wire wheel in my dremel.

Well this sucks, the stripper got under the paint, so I went ahead and took off everything, and I was really poking forward to seeing how it would turn out :(
Anyways here's how it looks now
