That's awesome Warrior. Can't wait for the party, that porch looks like a great place to wake up, hungover, covered in vomit, in nothing but my underwear and one boot. :barf::thumbup:

That's a great deal on those Hunt blades, bigghoss.

Warrior, that looks fantastic. 30 years in the making, I can only imagine how exciting it must be for you.

Ok guys I need some advice, I'm wanting a new sharpening system and I'm looking at either a sharpmaker or a classic worksharp, I've thought about the KME but it's just a little more than I want to spend, so which works better, is the worksharp worth the extra $20, I really like the fact that the work sharp makes it easier to repro file an edge

Havent used a sharpmaker before... If you chose the WS be careful and start with cheap knives. Its easy to ruin a knife, especially the tip... This i know from experience LOL

I think im going to try a Smith's 3-in-1 before long.. Its only 14 bucks and has the sticks, a diamond "stone" plus some carbides... I wouldnt use the carbide sharpener really though. But this way i could try something similar to a sharpmaker for quite a bit cheaper... An idea for you as well maybe...

I remember seeing those somewhere WW, might have to look into it again, I was also looking at the lansky turnbox, man I wish I had more money

I like the worksharp for my larger outdoor knives. For my EDC blades I use a system by lansky that is kinda a budget sharpmaker but it puts a wicked edge on my blades.

I have the lansky turn box. I only have the medium grit rods for it though, I prefer normal stones like my norton India or DMT diamond plate as opposed to a guided sharpener.

No offense, but I continue to be amused by the fascination with various fancy/pricy sharpening systems. It's really pretty simple guys, just wear away the parts that don't cut. But hey.. whatever works for ya. ;)

Wait... you have to go somewhere special to experience that? Sheeeit, son, that's a normal Sunday mornin' where I come from... except I haven't worn undies in roughly 25 years...

for the most part I feel the same way way, the only sharpening tools I've ever owned are Arkansas stones and cheap ceramic rods, and they work really well, but there are times I don't want to spend 20+ minutes on one knife

Congratulations, W. I know you're gonna have more fun than a barrel of monkeys there.
Thanks man. We sure are.

Thanks man, haha.

Thanks man. It's surreal, to say the least. The only thing that sucks about the whole thing, is that I want to be there all the time, and can't, haha.

At some point Dubs, it could be a great place to retire to, that wont cost much to keep up, and would provide all the basics you need. Would let you spend more of that social security on knives and packs...:D

Congrats Warrior! The place looks great. Have fun exploring!
Thanks man, appreciate it.

I like this man's thinking. :D I keep telling my wife that I now have a place to run off to when I leave her. No sense of humor that woman. :D

Damn, there's only 3 of us on the Becker sub forum now, haha. And we're all on the snark thread.

Another compliment on the cabin Warrior! That looks like a ton of fun and then some.

Eric
