I found Tradewater...

So just to recap: Guy was selling a TM Hunt Maguna and Hornet but would only take paypal, but I don't have a PP account and really don't feel like getting one (I've tried before and always had problems with them) but I had commented that I would have bought them if he would have taken a USPS MO. Anyway, I get an email from a BH that I haven't really ever interacted with (I don't know if he wants me putting his name out or not so I'll leave him anonymous for now) offering to buy the knives for me and I would send him a MO for the cost of the knives and shipping so I do it.

He paid for everything out of his own pocket and told me to wait on paying him until the knives were actually in the mail and on their way even though I offered to mail him the payment sooner. He emailed me again today to tell me that he got them and will be mailing them off tomorrow and to top it off the seller knocked $30 off the price because he/I/we bought two knives! Plus they knives look unused, which doesn't surprise me because I think they were blade show leftovers.

So two practically new Hunt knives for $210 + a USPS flat rate box which is like 5 bucks. I'm pretty stoked.

I was a little late to that ball game and the knives where sold and the pics deleted by the time I tuned into that thread. But, I wondered what exactly happened there. Now I know, good on "him" for doing that man, that's awesome. I am honored that he thought enough of me, you and this community to step up. Makes me proud to be a Beckerhead. High class.

If memory serves me correctly, those are last years knives I think, cant quite remember without seeing the pics. If they need anything bighoss, let me know, I will hook you up.

Holy Shit! Hi Ark! Long time no type!

Watching the premiere of the new Extant show starring Halle Barry... Not sure what i think yet but its only been on 12 minutes...

That's cool. One thing I miss about Oregon is pretty lax knife laws. You can legally carry and auto as long as it's not concealed.
NH you can carry whatever, concealed or not....but not so much in our southerly neighbors. ..I've been working a lot in MA and have to be careful what I have on me. Each municipality seems to have their own restrictions....
Welcome back, Ark!

I thought I saw that maguna for sale right after blade but I may be mistaken. In any case I got me some good knives coming my way.

He told me that part of the reason he offered to help me out was so that he'd get a chance to handle some of your work without it costing him anything. He said he was very impressed.

Edit: I went back and looked at your blade show leftover thread and it's the same maguna. For all I know the Hornet is from last year.

Coincidentally, one of my Aussie buddies that i help with shipping also grabbed one of those little Brous knives, he grabbed the normal Silent Soldier model in stonewash finish. Its passing through me so ill get to see how the different handles feel with and without the guard. Cool stuff.

And cats are RUTHLESS! I mean really they are kind of cruel animals LMAO, its not uncommon for them to torture something for hours with the only point being amusement.

No argument here. Cats can be absolutely cold-hearted... but total sweethearts at the same time. Frankly, I admire that in a way.

Slippy (the one who skinned the bunny alive just for kicks, or as I prefer to call it, "practice for armageddon") also stood guard over my daughter every night after I tucked her in, and wouldn't let anyone but me near her. To this day, she's a total cuddly lovey-dovey kitten to me and my kid, but it has taken four solid years for her to get to the point where she's gotten used to my wife and is actually semi-friendly to her (and my dear wife is about the kindest-hearted human you could ever hope to meet, and certainly no stranger to rescuing and caring for neglected critters).

Someday I'll tell the whole story of how Slippy came to be part of my world,,, suffice to say, she was a badly-abused rescue off the mean streets... and a couple previous women demanded, "it's me or that damn cat!"

That damn cat is still here with me ;)
