I know what thats all about, i have had to sell several lately that i really didnt wanna sell... But it was necessary.
It is what it is!! Good luck with your sales bud!!
Nice work! I have a page bookmarked somewhere, with Emberlit like plans. See if I can find it.Man, lots of people may or may not have knifes coming...nice.
Well, due to all of you Emberlit fanboys around here (that means you Dubz) I've been seriously jonesing for a small wood stove. However, since I'm a cheapa-, er, I mean, since I like tinkering around and building my own stuff, I decided to give it a shot. Spend last night perusing the internet for ideas and plans. A supplier gave me a scrap piece of 22ga. stainless for free. Spent this evening cutting it out with a pair of tin snips and dozen Dremel cut-off wheels:
My plans:
The result:
Photo bomb!
It looks pretty rough; but it's more of a "see if I like it" kind of build. I still have to sand all the sharp edges off of it, and maybe make a screen or something to lie on top so my glacier cup can sit properly. I'll probably end up buying an emberlit anyways if I like using one enough. I think I'll head to the river tomorrow morning for some fishing and give it burn test.
I was thinking of thinning the heard. Use the money for my cabin, haha. I was thinking of other things I could sell as well.
Yep, that cabin is worth it if you ask me LOL!! And that somewhere you can use knives a lot, so the ones you keep you could enjoy more in a place that belongs to you.
Kind of how im thinking, right now to use my knives i have to travel 1-2 hours and pay to camp on land thats not mine... Id much more prefer to be able to just walk outside on land i own and enjoy my blades.
There's a download for a file, but you have to have a program that will open up a .dxf file: http://www.maclab.sk/clanky/en-pocket-stove.php

I may or may not have a THK Sidekick on the way.
