I don't know how to pull this video from Facebook, but if one of you gun nuts could...

1) embed it here, and

2) tell me why the system in the video is a truly, horrible idea so I can go on about my life,

I'd be grateful.

the only truly horrible part about it is they never tell you what it costs or where to get it - and the gun shop doing the emo is in PR.
you need this - no matter what it costs or whose kidney you have to sell to get it, (other than one of mine - I'm using them both) you should sell your house and your car and buy one -- or maybe 2 (because as we all know, 1 is none and 2 is 1) of these.

but don't sell your dog for one -- that would be insane and stupid.

that's OK - I'm not convinced it was an SBR -- I suspect it was actually a pistol.

While not the full thing, this seems to be the company http://www.tacticallife.net/REMOVABLE-BARREL-SYSTEM_c_73.html

And while I don't own a house, the paid off vehicle is getting pretty old, and the one with a note probably wouldn't fetch much, I do have fairly healthy children, whose kidneys I assume are all fully functional. Thanks for the idea!

there you go - $650 + the firearm of your choice, so long as it's a DI AR type.
they even tell you what handguard you can sub in if you have a longer barrel.

Nice pictures, Noswad!

Not to steal any thunder, but myself and a few friends just got back from a backpacking overnighter into the mountains right outside of Mt. Rainier NP. It dumped 3" of snow on us overnight, not quite what we prepared for, but it made for some good pictures. My BK20 was still the main firewood prep tool I used, batoning some of the deadwood we found to get to the dry insides; it really is the best blade I currently own.

Where we parked, and where we hiked (to the right)

Looking into the park across the river, couldn't see Rainier from here but she's over there somewhere.

The general terrain in the area, other than the fire road we hiked.

My tent, and the nice valley shot where all the wind came from (it was chilly)

Sunset was cool, a bit apocalyptic.

Morning was even cooler, this is right after I woke up.

Same terrain, now snow covered.

same valley, slightly whiter.

Hard core bro. Hard core....

Great pix too btw!

I believe Vik is correct that it is a pistol using a Sig brace. And it does look like the gun shop in question built it using the barrel system that you linked to. I wouldn't get it because I already have a few registered SBRs which, for me anyway, have signficantly better ergos than AR pistols. Another reason to not get that particular model is the somewhat goofy looking muzzle device. I'd want a barrel with a QD mount or just a thread protector for a silencer...by the manufacturer of your choice.

Cool pics and scenery noswad.

Nice trip and awesome scenery!

Thanks guys. It was a nice way to spend the day.

Looks like fun MC!

I've been sick for the last 6 days with no end in sight. I thought I was starting to feel better on Sunday and then yesterday I was worse, and even more so today. It's morphed from a dry cough, whole body aches, congestion, and chill and sweats, to a hellacious head cold and very productive cough the last 2 days. I sure wish I could take a few more days off and vegitate.

Well worth it, imo. 8000 btu, btw.

The reason I bought it, is because I wanted a small oven, and bought a Coleman oven to sit on it:

Inside. Adjustable rack:

Should work out pretty good. There's several videos on youTube demonstrating the oven. Muffins, pies, etc. One guy baked a 6lb ham in it, with no issues. Got these 2 items, and 8 butane canisters, for $66 shipped.

The oven heats up from the burner? That's cool. Neat little space saver.

Tornados? In February? Is that a thing?

Sure does. Cool little oven. Be nice to be able to bake rolls, etc. The oven folds flat too. It weighs a hair over 7lbs. Steel, with some sort of aluminum coating.

Illinois weather has always been unpredictable. It was 70° here today. When I was a kid, it would have been cold with snow on the ground.

That's freakin awesome!! I have the little stove, they are pretty sweet! Where did you find the oven? I'm pretty sure I need one...

Back in the mid eighties dad would hook up the old 1964 Puma pop up camper to his sedan and we'd (dad, my two brothers and I) head down and fish the White River in Northern Arkansas in December or January. We'd sleep in mummy bags and run a couple space heaters. Dad would make sausage and gravy in that popup camper and we had that exact oven that he'd cook scratch biscuits from Bisquick I believe. We cooked a lot of biscuits in that Coleman oven. Great times.

You do, I was looking at buying one here recently. Lots of old American made ones on the bay, but I believe the new ones are made over seas but are still high quality.

I need to buy one as well.
