Oh no, he's going to 3D-print the End Times!!
(but don't worry, it will take *forever*, those things are slow) :D

Eating leftover brisket like a savage.

i was going to print submersibles and go collect purple octopusses :D

Finally broke down (failure or success, you decide) and ordered a H&B tomahawk. Now I will proceed to forget about it, and some weeks in the future there will be a lovely surprise. Think they'll let me take it on the ship? :D

Not if you have to go through TSA screening to get there. But then again...

*holds up TWIC*
"Multipass!"
Then I can't see how there could be a problem. At least until you try to take it to the engine room, or to the galley, or your work station, or out of the bag you snuck it in on. Otherwise, you should be good to go.

Good for you!
I've been looking at them for a few years now and have yet to pull the trigger.
I've heard nothing but great things.
Make sure you let us know how you like it.

I bet one of your bike buddies has a motorcycle trailer that you could use with that pickup truck.. just saying, since I'd rather work on it at the new place.

Unfortunately the only guy I know with a motorcycle trailer is using it out of town this weekend for some kinda dirty bike race. So I'm stuck for now working on it at the old place for now. It's not the end of the world just a little inconvenient.

In other news; moving sucks. We've got the bulk of our stuff here after only two days, unloaded in the garage but still unloaded, and the big stuff put in place. The pond in the back does indeed have fish in it. I confirmed that yesterday morning after coffee. About ten minutes there and I had a nice sized rainbow trout on my line. We also saw others jumping around while we were there. It's nice and quiet here. I'll have to walk around and snap some pictures today. It decided to snow last night and still this morning, so everything will be dusted white.

Stocked pond on personal property...
That's one of the main ingredients in living the good life!
Man, I'm happy for you!

my goal in life is to leave multipass at deep sea vents...

"bladite was here"

We leave anchored Whiffle balls as markers, I don't see why not.

Actually, that's not quite true... so we left these whiffle-like things that were brought by the funded science party for marking corals. The Whiffle-making people in CT (same state as my org's incorporation) found the reference on our site and had to send us a trademark protection letter to ask the wording to be changed because they were not real Whiffle Balls...

...and then sent us a box of genuine Whiffle Balls for next time! :D

Took a drive into West Virginia with a friend on Thursday. If global warming means I can have the windows down and walk around in a t shirt in February I'm OK with it. :D

At Gandy Creek for lunch. Boiled some water on the Coleman camp stove dad had in the garage that I fixed and cleaned and ate a mountain house chili meal in the Bear Butt. My WV fishing license is expired or I would have tried to catch some fish.

And the last stop before heading home was the Sinks of Gandy.

Nice pictures, Noswad!

Not to steal any thunder, but myself and a few friends just got back from a backpacking overnighter into the mountains right outside of Mt. Rainier NP. It dumped 3" of snow on us overnight, not quite what we prepared for, but it made for some good pictures. My BK20 was still the main firewood prep tool I used, batoning some of the deadwood we found to get to the dry insides; it really is the best blade I currently own.

Where we parked, and where we hiked (to the right)

Looking into the park across the river, couldn't see Rainier from here but she's over there somewhere.

The general terrain in the area, other than the fire road we hiked.

My tent, and the nice valley shot where all the wind came from (it was chilly)

Sunset was cool, a bit apocalyptic.

Morning was even cooler, this is right after I woke up.
