HA ha...I knew you guys would like those knives. Tricky figuring a way to introduce them, but I figure most Beckerheads like ESEE as well. It was such a cool pic I figured it would spark some con-ver-saytin!

I DID think that knife was the bigger one. Double Holy Crap!

(I was the one that made the lawyer joke that fell flat)

I'd still like to see it with a BK2. Or hook a pulley to the handle and pull someone up via 4x4 winch cable..

I just have to say guys, I have the EDC-4 from survive knives and it is OUTSTANDING. I have a Fallkniven F1, which was my number 1 before this, a becker bk17, bark river bravo-1, and a BHK bushcrafter. The EDC-4 is very very sharp and ergonomic. When I gripped it in my hand for the first time, I felt like I was holding Zeus's lightning, something I only ever felt with one other knife and that was the ESEE Junglas. I'm going to Lake George this weekend and will test this knife extensively. Im positive it will excel in all things bushcraft. Cant wait for the CPM-3V version!

Glad to know the tree was standing dead. Even though I like to think that everyone is that thoughtful, I've not witnessed it personally all that often. As a "careful" climber it amazes me how over built most climbing gear is,(I'm not that big), and also as a hammocker how "climbable" most hammock gear is. That said, I'm amazed it stayed stuck in the tree, no way you'd get me out on that one!
And I guess the old rule still stands, just because you don't understand doesn't make it wrong. Cool stuff man.

it could probably hold 200 pounds but when you fall those 200 pounds turns into 2000 pounds or some thing like that, so it might snap if the dude slipped but he's got that drag line connected to his caribiner he would survive minus a bk2.
 
Hey it has been awhile since I looked at the SURVIVE! line. Think he first popped up here around March of last year or so. When are we gonna see the GSO-10? Was really looking forward to that one.

He just posted the pre order link the other day. $160 shipped, but thats minus the sheath I think. Looks very Brute-ish, I think.
