Oinkficial "How My SAR-4 Looks And Feels IN Real Life" Thread.

Those handles on your #90 definitely look like the ones on my #76.

All that I can say is wow! This is my first LE so I am new to the shiny stuff, aside from that, this is one handful of a knife. I had to lose my AK to get her on such short notice but I am certain that I will keep and use this bad boy. It sure is bigger and meatier than expected, but it feels great in the hand. Sharp as heck too! It bit my girlfriend 30 seconds after I brought it in the house. Nothing serious, but it got her attention. I tried to take it away from her and she said, "I'm a big girl and I can cut myself with the d**n knife if I want to." Can't argue with that!

I have been looking for a replacement for my SHBA ever since I traded it. I got two really nice knives in trade, but neither filled it's shoes, or sheath, so to speak. The SAR-4 does quite nicely.

hey doby, got your knife back from the engravers today, looks good, a lil more sanding on the handle it it's ready to go!! very cool!!!

Please remind me to never ever ask for anything speacial from BCS again.

I just knew it would be here today and when I saw that mailman drive off I was about to die.:(

Skunk, please hurry up with the mods so I can have my SAR4. I need it bad!!:(:(

ok, sorry, it's on the way, don't worry, it's a nice one now, i got the stupid looking spot out of it with my grindomatic and gave it a few turns in my Dillon case tumbler.

she's a beauty and will be worth the wait... i think :(

OH! and no charge for the number, the engraver did a fine job and nobody will know unless the guy with the same number posts a pic of his knife.

Hey, everyone start pimpin' your SAR4's since Doby does'nt have his! Pics', lots of user pics'! Just kidding Doby..you'll love your's as much as I do my FOUR!

Just an addendum... now that I'm practicing the pull technique, mine is feeling a lot better in my hand.

Yeah, Skunk put this one through the grindomatic, and it makes a fantastic camp fork. Sounds like yours will still have the scales on it though.

Got mine yesterday. #10

Being new to Busse knives, I only have one other knife to compare it to (NMSFNO). But it really feels more substantial in the hand than I thought it would. It is pretty heavy. But in a good way. I cant wait to find a leather sheath for this thing.

I received my two SAR 4s yesterday, like others have said, it is larger than what it seemed in the pictures, but I like the size. Here is a comparison picture with a SHBA, as you can see from the second picture, they are pretty close. If there ends up being CG models, I might do a little grinding and make the profile similar to the SHBA.

Tim,

Thanks for the pics.
Now I know I'm already covered and don't need no stinkin SAR.

Dont have the knife but it looks very similar to the Bark River bravo 1. Anyone one got comparison shots just for fun?

Here is my SAR-4 Le #46, My only complaint is the 6 in 46 is not
etched very good. It dont bother me much but its hard to get a
good photo. On the the other hand my slabs kick some Hogg-Butt
I'm a newbie so I cant give you a fair evaluation of this Bad-Boy
but my hand loves it and the wife thinks its my best Busse yet.
She's a good woman!! With any luck on my part I'll post a few pic's.
