Ok all you EDC folks

It really is pretty cool to see some of the things people have carried over time. For some, the theory really hasn’t changed over time, just the technology. Some used to carry a flint and steel kit, a slipjoint, a few coins, etc. I carry a modern folder, a mini Bic, etc.

Really makes you wonder how we ever became a country without tactical pants, doesn't it? I wonder if all cool operators shaved their heads back then and had a goatee?

I bet ben franklin made them sunglasses too......:D

I think both guesses are wrong. It's got to be a Busse. Has to be. :D

Good point. Only INFI steel would have survived the test of time.

I’m surprised to see all those features on that knife. So the stupid corkscrew dates all the way back to the days of our founding fathers. I guess the difference is back then everything had a cork in it. Now even good wines are coming in a box. Well good wines for someone like me. :D

I will say though, I have rarely ever used the “odd” tools on my SAKs for what they were intended. Improvising a solution was always much more common. Got a plain edge Victorinox One Hand Trekker in the mail now, first SAK in 10 years. I’d bet men like Jefferson were finding stuff to use those gizmos on all the time.

I wonder if TJ found a use for the hook, and I see he lost the little corkscrew driver..happens to ma all the time.

Actually u r all wrong that's a gerber bear grylls multi tool. Jefferson was a sucker for bears loveable face on the package ,he was no better then us.

Out of all the founding fathers, Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were my two favorites. Jefferson was big into making cookware, and Franklin was big into anything, from poetry to electricity. I wish I coulda hung out with Ben Franklin, I bet he was a hoot to talk to.

I hear that Franklin loved crazy women. Hell, loved all women.

Franklin was the man . Just glad he's not around to see what the patriot act has done to are liberties

Again, we're not going down the road of some political thread on this. So, please keep those beliefs to yourself or this thread will get locked.

I can relate. Women are pretty cool, most of the time, and you know he was big pimpin' back in the day too. What a pick up line, "Hey baby, you know I invented the printing press, bifocals, and helped ma boys write the Declaration of Independence? Yeah, we kicked England outta here, so, how 'bout you and me go getta drink?

Little known fact, Ben Franklin invented "Game".

As Sammy Kershaw said, talk about anything but politics, religion and her....

I bet that knife did cost a fortune. Every piece made by hand I assume.

Moose, TJ and BF were pimpin' back when pimpin' was easy.
