All of our founding fathers were all extraordinarily multi-talented and TJ was good at just about everything. If you look at the supply list Lewis and Clark carried on the Corps of Discovery it shows that they brought everything you could possibly ever use. Lewis lived with TJ and was mentored for a year or so to get ready for the expedition so Im sure that TJ was behind most of the items carried. There was alot of cutting edge stuff that TJ had them bring like a 36 foot long collapsible boat and a .31 cal airgun!
