Ok, what's your favorite BKT Model and Why?

When I first got into Becker, my favorite was always "my next one" after finally getting over the whole "I gotta have them all" syndrome we all go through and actually using my knives, I have found that for a full size it's a toss up between the 4 and two...here lately it's been the 2. But I think the knife I use the most is the 15. Which is funny because I have no love for the 5. I've had 2. Ones on permanent loan to a buddy and the other found a new home last week. But I use my 15 damn near everyday. From simple stuff to food prep. It's just been my go to blade.

Ha ha! I got that 5 and love it!!!
But my favorite is the 14. It has become my edc and pretty much kicks astronaut all day long. :D

I love me a BK2. I got it a nice new sheath to replace the crappy sheath it came with.

It's the only knife I've spend money on after purchasing the knife itself.

If 'favorite' were a unit of measure based on the amount of time a particular knife spends in your pocket or on your belt then my choice is clear - a Case medium stockman with G-10 scales:

In second place is the knife that keeps popping up whenever I head to the woods. I'm not sure how it gets into my rucksack or fishing bag, but it does and it always comes to hand - the BK-14:

Stay sharp!

Anybody out there gonna vote for the BK12(Becker/Ritter Perseverance)??? I have yet to see one in person but when I do I plan to buy it:D

It's got my vote, I was just down in the basement working on mine a bit. There are a few stubborn spots so it's a work in progress but the 12 is my favorite because the more I handle it, the more I think I get what Doug and Ethan were trying to do with this knife. I keep thinking that this a true "tweener" - a six inch drop point that really bridges the gap between the large or thicker choppers and the smaller belt knives. You can wail on it and baton all you want but it's still small, thin and light enough that you could use it for quite a few of the bushcraft and camp chores.

Even tho my BK14 is my EDC and gets much more use I think my vote goes to the BK12/MK2 as well...

It is the total package. Big enough for the big boy chores like chopping and batonning, but small enough for lighter duties. The weight and feel is just right, and though many aren't, I am a big fan of the thumb ramp. The blade is just the right size, and not too thick, but definitely sturdy.

9 for me! Long live The King!

Here's the list. Pick one!

BK1 Brute
BK2 Campanion
BK3 Tac Tool
BK4 Machax
BK5 Magnum Camp
BK6 Patrol Machete
BK7 Combat Utility
BK9 Combat Bowie
BK10 Crewman
BK11 Necker
BK12 MK2 Ritter Perseverance
BK13 Remora
BK14 Eskabar
BK15 Trailing Point Short
BK16 Drop Point Short
BK17 Clip Point Short
RBK Reinhardt Becker Kukri

For me it's BK9 and BK77 even though I don't have a 77. Looks like a sweet blade though :eek::thumbup:

I love my five great slicer and batons with the best of them awesome all around knife. Plus it has a old school feel to reminds me of the old west.

Love my 16+17, but the 14 is still my favorite. Unlike it's bigger brothers, I can take it everywhere.

Cute as a BK-8!

But for real for real, my favorite is most likely the 15.
ETA: The reason, the 5 for me is a great knife. However it's just too big to practically carry with me all the time. The 15 while still a rather large knife for EDC is a perfect size to companion carry. I keep it with me when I know I'm going somewhere that I can use it. Ethan is right, it IS a great steak knife. However it is more than that, it is a great knife for a lot of little things depending on how/where you hold it.

tough call -- I love the 16, but the 14 drops into a pocket and away I go.
OTOH, as you can tell from my first 2 choices, I'm a drop point fiend, so it's a very close call with the 12.
I wonder how it would look without the thumb ramp -- too much like my 10?

My favorite at the moment is my 7. Anyone every try to fillet at trout (or other fish) with a bk15? I'm tempted to pick one up for my camping trip for food prep.

I used my 15 to take the skin off of some salmon I got from the store a few weeks ago. Worked great. I would imagine it would work even better if it was stripped.

As far as the original post I cant pick just one but for big knives I have to go with the 9 small belt knife the 16 and lately my 11 has taken over my pocket. If I had to pick only one I would say 16 because the 9 can feel a bit cumbersome for small tasks and its a bit of effort to get the 11 to work larger.

I say bring your Dozer or your 16. Doziers are dreamy and the 16 is just awesome as you know.

The 14 because its a genuine EDC fixed blade that I can and do legally carry anywhere and because it does anything I need it to.
The 5 and 15 because they are so beautiful.

I feel like the 14 can do almost anything you need it to with some ingenuity. It is also an awesome mini-chef's knife.
