Olamic Wayfarer 247 first impressions (being returned)

When I had to return an Opinel they covered the cost. Hope he gets same treatment.

I looked at the Lamnia website and it says that return shipping is at the buyer's cost, unless the item being returned is "defective." Not sure the OP can make the case that the Olamic was "defective" but he can certainly try.

Depending on the cost of return shipping, it still may be "better" to send it to Olamic to address the "problems" the OP has complained about, especially if Olamic is willing to "comp" the cost of those "repairs" or if that cost is equal/less than the cost of return shipping.

These shattered dreams stories are always disconcerting. I hope the OP gets all of his money and shipping cost back. Punitive compensation for vexation never seems to come into the conversation. Hmmmm..............

I have three Olamics, one I ordered from a dealer and the other two I had built by Olamic. I have found them to be very well made with none of the issues of the op, my only issues that matters not to me is both my Wayfarer and Flash blades a so slightly off center and the Flash is just a little harder to release the lock bar than the other two. None of this a big deal, really like all three.View attachment 1818911View attachment 1818916View attachment 1818918

All three knives are beautiful, but that Rainmaker is simply outstanding. Wow.
