Nothing to fret about. I been one for at least 63 or 64 years, ever since I was a youngling/rug rat.

I've seen several of Tod's videos on You Tube.
Are the two of you in the same area? Some of the scenery in his videos and your "took a walk" posts look very similar.

He posts some interesting ones I think. He's based down in Oxford, further south from me, but he seems to get about a fair bit in his videos

I have carried this Anderssen & Copra for the last few weeks, and have really enjoyed it. It has cut everything from cardboard and paracord to steaks and apples to shrink wrap and banding. I have not had a single issue. I even started a fire with a Ferro rod on the tang. The copper has started to get a little patina, which I think will only add to its appeal. I did remove the lanyard, it only got in the way for me.
