Old Friends Friday

My oldest knife today. I have been waiting to share this one until I could take some better photos. I would like to know more about it from the wise minds here. My understanding is this sleeveboard from William Rodgers is pre-1900. The tang marks are “William Rodgers Sheffield” and “I Cut My Way” on the secondary. Covers are in amazing shape. I assume horn because of the age but they so dark and uniform deep flat black I thought it might be ebony. Too bad a previous owner obviously polished the old steel but the blades still have wonderful character. It has a nice weight and smooth warmth in the hand. I like carrying it.IMG_5305.jpegIMG_5308.jpegIMG_5315.jpegIMG_5312.jpeg

UTK Supreme S-5. I think I got this at a reasonable price because they were discontinuing the 5-incher.

And no, I do not need the seven-incher.

I've always really liked this Watchpocket Barlow, even though I've never carried it much. Bought in the days when GECs were relatively inexpensive, and hung around for months. I think I bought it after deciding to pass on that years Forum Knife

It's been too long since I carried this fabulous knife, which Charlie waynorth waynorth presented as a candidate for the annual Traditional forum knife a few years back, bringing it in at an excellent price. It is probably my favourite of the forum knives :)
