Another bone handled ISW Bare-headed Jack next to the Harness Jack. The BH Jack looks to have NYKC jigging. ;):)

Thank you for the comments guys. 👍:)

Another addition to my old John Primble collection arrived in today's mail:

A beautiful old Belknap HDW. & MFG. Co. (1940-1968) red saw-cut bone John Primble Barlow with long pull clip and pen blade.

This knife arrived from North Dakota and was a gift from Blade Forums legendary member Paul Hilborn.

Paul's pictures, previously posted in the old knife thread, were so nice, I decided to use his pictures and add my own little twists, or drop shadows, if you will. ;):)

I have already made room for it in the Primble cabinet, however, it did not stay there long as I snatched it out and carried it all afternoon.

I really like it in my watch pocket. :)

I suppose Paul put his own edge on this knife as it is razor sharp - WOW - I learned that I need sharpening lessons from Paul !!👍

Others and I had noticed that I was missing a nice Primble barlow from my collection, but, it was not because I had not tried. I wanted a really nice red saw-cut bone in the Primble Barlow and every time I would run across one, there would be something about it I did not like, a bone crack, used up blades, or something that would turn me off to it.

Well - Paul found what I couldn't and I am very grateful for this outstanding example which he so graciously sent to me!!:eek:👍👍:)

Also included was a 1944 wheat penny ( I wonder if that was one of the window sill coins :confused: ) and a very nicely worded note from Paul.

I have said previously that I owe many here thank you's for all of the advice, gifted knives, tips on locating, knife boxes, and advice on my cabinet. Every time I look in the cabinet, I see not only a beautiful cabinet and beautiful knives, but, beautiful friendships. So Paul Hilborn's name will be yet another which I think of as I enjoy my favorite collection.

I will take a picture of this knife in it's place in the cabinet, after I can make myself take it out of my pocket long enough to do so. :D

Paul - I love this knife and I can't thank you enough for the pleasure, my friend. 👍👍:)

Primble, you are so welcome:thumbup: It's rather aged and in rough shape to say the least but I know after a Primble-a-zation treatment it will look better:o

You know they say possession is 9/10th's of the law but I'm sure in a court of law my case would be pretty weak as it does have your name on it:D

I didn't do anything to it aside from the ritual sharpening and a little oil---I have to admit I'm looking forward to your photo skills of that knife versus mine. I know of no one that can take the quality pictures you can my friend;) You are right on with that Wheat Penny coming from the window;)

That is a nice gesture Paul. That knife is in great shape and it won't take long for Primble to work his magic on it. ;)

Well, I knew something was up! The Barlow is a real treasure and will really highlight the display with the wonderful stamping on the bolsters and that beautiful bone! I look forward to seeing it in its place on the display! Very well done, Paul!!!

I know it will be hard to get that one out of your pocket, Primble!!

What a pleasure to see after a long day at work:D

( By the way... I carried that Mechanic you sent me Paul...and yes he puts on a nice edge;)

Awesome stuff Primble my friend. I was having a chat to Paul in the weekend and he mentioned that he sent you that lovely Barlow- and I have been waiting to see a post about it! So good to see it arrive "home" to Primble land!
Great to see and to our good mate Paul - once again you show what such a genreroys person you are my friend.
Thank you guys. Great reading and Primbke- great photos!

Paul - I think the knife is in fine condition and considered leaving it as found. I will probably work out some of the surface corrosion that has started, however, I want it to still look old. It is very cool to have one of the window sill finds!!:thumbup::)

You are correct Mark - short work on this one.:D

I was thinking the same thing.;)

Thank you Duncan and it is hard to put this one in a cabinet, as I want to carry it. I suppose that is what is so nice about the magnets. ;):)

So true Duncan. I'm honored as you and others to be a very small part of Primble's truly wonderful display and knives. It's a good feeling knowing that the knife found it's way home to it's rightful owner:thumbup:

Very much appreciated Duncan and Paul.

I get by with a little help from my friends ( credits shown in picture ). I see those names, as well as the outstanding ole knives, every time I peer into the cabinet. Thank you again to all of you that lent me a helping hand, or knife ..... or knives, if you will. :D

Well Primble my friend, your true generosity has helped build/add to many a collection, I know I'm a benefactor of your good Karma.

I know it's mentioned many times but the Traditional forum is a wonderful place to be:thumbup:
