Very nice Primble  Well done Gev, very kind :)

Hope all went well at the weekend Primble

WOW.....did I say WOW!!!!
Gev - what a fantastic thing to do for our mate Primble - and what a knife to let go of!!!!

I LOVE HAWKBILLS!! That one there Primble looks very much like a Simmons Keen Kutter I have thats a great example there my friend.

I hope it serves you well my friend!! And did I say WOW...you sure know how to Primbleize a knife to make it look fantastic!!! May many more old Primbles find their way to your loving hands at the end of that long winding road;)

Thanks for the kind works, Jack and Duncan!! You gents set the standard:D

Primble sent me a gift that would blow your mind, so mine is just a pittance compared to his generosity, which many of us know very well.

I still owe you much, my friend!

Gev, very nice knives you have gifted to Primble for his cool collection and display...well done.

Primble, as always you set the bar on pictures with your photography skills.......your knife "clean-up" skills aren't too shabby either. ;)

Duncan - thank you first of all and secondly - the old hawkbill wood was dark and dirty - after cleaning and waxing the wood - the reddish hues in the Cocobolo really popped, which made me smile. :)

Gevo - I love the old red bone Cigar Jack and I thank you for the compliments - that big old Primble you sent me will still be up to the task, long after that old pocket watch has turned to dust. ;):):D

Nice Steve.

Rob,that big cigar looks Boker made to me...?

Hi Lyle, I am new to the old knives, and with that said, I was thinking Schrade but now that you mentioned Boker...I see that too.
That is why I love this forum.

Forget the magnets on that one Primble......You need a seat belt to hold that in place!:D

👍:D - actually four did the job Mark. :D

Lyle,

It might be a Boker made Primble - Boker and Schrade made a lot of the old Primble knives, as you most likely know. 👍;):)

Just out of interest - what about it makes you lean toward Boker?

I wanted to share a preview of some old India Steel Works John Primbles that I managed to purchase yesterday.

You may remember seeing these three knives on page 7 of this thread, when I was lusting after somebody else's collection.

They are in the mail and having the tracking number makes me excited to see these old beauties.

I will post photos of them after I get my paws on them. ;)

I will probably be eating clearance expired Ramen noodles until about Christmas due to the cost for my lusting.:eek:

I had to think back to something some other person said about doing what is necessary to aquire old knives you want. ;):D:eek:

Beans sound really good right now - probably too expensive though.

Gone to the store to exchange my groceries for a refund.

WOW! Those are incredible Primbles, Primble! The heck with groceries, a man has to have priorities!

Awesome Primble! You are taking this to a whole new level and it is great to see.

Go catch some fish to eat and if you have a .22, get a few squirrels and rabbits.......I don't want to have to worry about your kitty cats.....they taste just like chicken!:D

Goodness gracious those are superlative! I hope your first born is still accounted for?:eek:

Can't wait to see them in living color! Or is that PrimbleVision:D

The Primble river has changed course!!

Must be all those magnets in the house!!

:D

I particularly admire that Pillbuster, has a kind of Stabber Jack spear master. Then there's the bone on it and the others.....:thumbup:

There's no pills or cure for this addiction....... fortunately:D:D

Warm regards, Will
