"Old Knives"

You are welcome Gus, I've noticed the early knives tend to be rounded, this pre hammer brand NYK is so well contoured and slick it will slip out of my hand if I'm not careful. I know I've shown it here before but I don't think I showed the first picture in my original post.

Thank you Rob :)
Quite clean overall !!
I’ve been kinda drooling looking at it for a while, and yes “glow” is right!

:eek::eek: that warmed me up Cal! And increased my pulse rate noticeably, spectacular display of old Sheffield cutlery :thumbsup:
Well, we just got through with some minus 27° weather and I needed something to warm me up. Maybe a little knife! Yes! That's it! A little knife to warm the cockles of me heart! Warmer wx is on the way; we sent the winter on down South, I guess; sorry about that.View attachment 1511019 View attachment 1511020 View attachment 1511021 View attachment 1511022 View attachment 1511024 View attachment 1511025 View attachment 1511026 View attachment 1511027 View attachment 1511028 View attachment 1511029
uhh

That knife is wild with those covers, almost translucent and so well preserved! Each of those blades is unique with so much to offer in such compact designs. All with sunken joints to boot. Just a beautiful all ‘rounder Rob.

Wow, exceptional knife! I agree with Duncan, that one would be an excellent addition to the Sheffield golden years thread, it needs to be bumped back to the first page.

Rob, three very lovely NYK knives!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I am especially partial to the congress with the old tang stamp.

It's a very refined little whittler, another rounded slippery one:D
Thanks Gus:thumbsup:
