"Old Knives"

Thanks for the kind comments.
Here is an old EC Simmons Keen Kutter,. I guess this would be considered an English jack. I really like the way they did the bolsters on this one.

I looked at that one a couple of times a week for months, and then it was gone. Glad to see you got it. That is an exceptionally beautiful Keen Kutter, and, I believe, a fairly early one. Congratulations!

Rob, if there is anything in the Sheffield history of names- nothing grabs my attention better than an old EW, That is simply a wonderful Knife, sending my address. :D :D
I was just coming into comment on just how some of the Sheffield's used that Bolster- and Bam- there was a supreme example!

.......and a wonderful old Northfield to Boot! Nice work my friend.

It's really is a beautiful knife in hand, the wood glows. It saw plenty of use but held up well over the years. Here's the spine shot my friend. When the weather get back to double digits i will get outside and take better pictures

Rob, that Northfield’s curves are really sublime.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Would you be able to add a spinal shot as well ?

Great blades fellas, a lot of unique features on these examples. Thanks for showing them !

Thanks Dan, the EW was a sleeper at auction, poor pictures and description was not accurate but I had an idea it would be much nicer in hand, it far exceeded my expectations

Two more great knives, Rob!:thumbsup: Especially the Eye Witness.

Thanks Harry:thumbsup: I admired your EW collection very much, you have some dandys my friend
As a fan of Stag and Eye Witness , I am very happy to see your beautiful example of both .
