"Old Knives"

Love it Ed!
Thank you kindly sir;)
Not seen that particular tang stamp before, no majesties or the like so I'm guessing wildly it's later?

As I'm here I may as well shamelessly post up a few I had in the Sheffield thread a while back.

Big n brawny is that the phrase? It needed edges, points and minor slop on the main removed. Been using it loads and love it, so much I even got a slip for it!

Pocket worn loveliness and cool mark. Have a couple Petty but none with the mark on the blade.

It has what appears to be a period fix to the stag where a piece of bone was matched to the missing part.
Seems to have been well used, somewhat consistently honed and loved. I've since corrected the blades tendency to very slightly open past the point it should. Glad to mind it!

This feels and appears to be 'old'...

Interestingly sweet showing of blades here…

Duncan, real knice EW in ivory !!

ed_ , that JR&S has knice features, neet scales !
Those stag Sheffields are just beauts aren’t they ! Enjoy !!

euroken, sweet peach-seed, long—pull, SW Jack…
it’s quite addictive isn’t it !!

John, just a beautiful Miller Brothers Washington Jack👍 I don’t ever recall seeing one before either.

Here is a Jack (NYK) with fancy bolster that reminds me of yours although this one has English Jack credentials. It is just
slightly less than 4 & 1/2 inches. I think this one is later than yours.

Thanks Lloyd, beautiful NYK, great condition and very nice bone, different bone than we usually see on a NYK knife.

3 3/8" Union Razor Co. It was cleaned more than I like but considering the mark I got past the buffing. It's more thin and gentlemanly than other old Congress of the same length.

2 7/8" IXL. It's a dainty little knife, the tiny bolsters a masterfully executed, pocket worn, tight and snappy as a new knife.

Wowza Rob, that Tidi mark gets me every time as well :thumbsup:
The I*XL half-congress is such a treat with those bolsters, scales and sweet main.
Of course the full pearly senator with the box just ices everything !!

Thanks Gus:thumbsup: I don't believe the senator was used, appears to have spent most of its time in the box. Appreciate your comments
