"Old Knives"

I've never seen another like that. Absolutely stunning. Love your photography technique.
Just added this Winchester. Seemed like a good time to get all the old EO jacks out for a family photo.
Heavenly barlow Mr P. That bone looks like translucent caramel. Even has a touch of soup. :)

Thank you porchers !  😊 Dwight .... I've been known to call it Onion Soupbone.😊
That is a fine group of easy openers MajorPain !:thumbsup:😍

Is there a place on BF where you can post knives that are counterfeit so people can be educated about old knives??
I'd love to see a thread like that. If you start one, I'll subscribe. :)👍 Maybe ask a mod where's the best place to post it.
I'm pretty sure linking to active ebay auctions isn't allowed (and the images disappear after a while anyway) so posting images directly would be better.

Thanks for the response. I really don't understand why posting an active auction would not be allowed. That is one of the best ways to teach people by showing them where the knife in question is being offered. It's done on AAPK, FB and a few switchblade sites I'm on?? I'll ask a Mod about it.

I seen your post on FB about that counterfeit Eureka jack Mike and had no clue it was counterfeit, kuddos for pointing that out. I agree It would be great to have a thread here on BFs to reference to. FB allows more transparency but hard to find the thread after a while.

It’s not often I get to post in this thread, but I was lucky enough to find a couple old knives at the Badger Knife Club show this past weekend. (Well, I “found” thousands of old knives there, but I only came home with a couple.) 😉

My old knife knowledge isn’t at the same level as most of y’all, so I won’t try to provide and encyclopedic description or attempt any guess at dates, etc. Of course, any info would be more than welcome.

KA-BAR jack, spearpoint and pen, stag, 3 3/16” closed.
