"Old Knives"

J jnevill - that's a neat Montgomery Wards, nice to see :)

M majorpain1 - The Ol' Ebony will still serve you well my friend! - a fantastic Car Consul Knife ! That's Robeson is awesome! lovely Old Jack with gorgeous Handles. If that Main is anything like my older HJ's, that will sharpen easy, and dangerously sharp- Love it! Someone loved that Pen blade- and yet still lots left over to serve you.

Knivolf Knivolf -What a great example of an all Steel I*XL Hawk!

My four prewar Robesons gathered together: two in bone, two in celluloid.

J jnevill - you can't beat an old Scout eh1 - some time you should place these knives in this thread here- it's a great thread, and if you get bored one day- start going through it, there may be some loss in the earlier posts as we get now because of the change in the last image sight - but be patient as you go through and you will come across some nice knives in there by so m any of our Traditional friends here.

Slice-and-dice Slice-and-dice - there is a Boker Thread floating around if you wanted to ask any questions there, The Thread was started by Herder who in no doubt knows a lot more than anyone else about Boker- he and Ricky May did so much research on Boker, so by all means post on here....

Jeff my friend, I remember you posting your pleasure when receiving that Butter and Molasses Jack - I can see why, a nice grouping there, man the Bone on the Top Jack looks gorgeous!

Rufus1949 Rufus1949 - what a couple of handsome Woodens there! Nice!

Sorry Duncan...my mind was wandering. Don't know where Leon came from.

Oldie..... Not the most attractive Joseph Rodgers one can find, but never the less a cool one!

A neat old Pruner with a tensioned handle you see for the Cutters, the spring tension simply holds the Handle on a punched out concaved tag where the hole you see, the Handle rests in perfectly, works very similar to a Liner Lock. Simple when one see's it, but to come up with a genius thought originally - love it!

Finally received this Ulster stockman on Monday but I get home from work when it's almost dark, so I couldn't take pictures before ... All steel and a little lackkuster, I must say. But the bone is nice and the blades appear to be unsharpened. One can still see the etch on the main blade: Craftsman Hammer Forged 9528. 1940s, I assume?
