First BM&S etch I have ever seen!! A couple of nice Pearl knives!!
Can anyone give my advice for the best way to clean this up without damaging it? Thank you!I found this when my mother passed. It was my grandfather’s EDC. I would like to clean it up.
Thank youFine steel wool can often clean off gunk and active corrosion leaving a pleasant patina!!
Almost the first for me as well when I acquired it. I believe the knife was made by the Napanoch Knife Company, though I am only about 95% certain on that particular point.First BM&S etch I have ever seen!! A couple of nice Pearl knives!!
On these 'older' lobster knives, they have the long thin rods. Are they toothpicks? An old, all-metal, C.Bertram lobster. Love this little guy.

Yes, Charlie is right. The one in the picture is a nail-file/manicure blade.
I am loosing light very quickly here, but tried to take a picture of the spine when opened and closed so you can see it a little better.
I put it next to a knife that DOES have a "thin rod" like you mentioned in your first post. The thin probes are cleaning utensils and you see them sometimes on gentleman's knives and/or pipe-smoker knives etc.

Small local knife show coughed up a beautiful early Camillus sheepsfoot jack today. A nice largish 3 3/4", beautiful pick bone, mix of 4 line and 3 line tang stamps, wrap around spring. First Camillus sheepsfoot I've found.
What Jeff said!!!Augie, you dog, that's a magnificent piece! You sure can find 'em.
