"Old Knives"

Got this gent's congress yesterday, from an estate, for a few peanuts!! Got to looking at it, and it seems pretty old, and well preserved, if slightly abused!! I'm sure it started out as white bone, but it would be banned from the white bone thread, it is so age-stained!!
Attesting to its age, all the blades are stamped Fulton Cutlery Works, but no country of origin!! I think I recently heard most Fultons were contract knives!!View attachment 2388926View attachment 2388927

Here's a nice old Valley Forge that I picked up at a knife show yesterday...

Those some great finds gentleman. That white bone has aged nicely Charlie. Nice bone on the half whittler Glenn.

That's a neat knife Charlie. Don't recall ever seeing Fulton Cutlery Works tang stamp. several companies used a variation of the Fulton name but I have not seen this one. Generally Works in the name of an American cutlery company makes it an older knife such as Russell Green River Works one of the oldest American cutlery companies.
Here is an oddball I have, Cornwall Knife Works, at least this one marked Conn so American made, not much known on this company either, probably lots of small companies out there at the time producing quality knives like yours and mine that have been lost to history.

I've also seen Fulton Cutlery Co arched over Canal Fulton from Ohio if I remember right. Also pretty sure Camillus used Fulton at one time for one of their lower lines of knives, none of these would be the Fulton Works I'm pretty sure.

I recently picked up these Schrade Walden NY’s. I love the peach seed on these. Grateful to have them in my collection.

John, another one of many greats you post!!!

Was sure I had you in my multi quote Charlie....fantastic knives, love the history involved... A couple I just picked up, I love em both but the Schrade made Shapleigh is just fun to carry, the Remington (1924-1933) tang stamp has great bone to it also :)
