"Old Knives"

I like EJs and old Remingtons and an occasional Case. 😊
Lyle, if I may, do you know if these Case Buffalo's were users or were they always seen as more ornamental? I have mostly seen these old ones sold in the special wood boxes. The blade on mine looks like it was never used or sharpened.

In general most knives that are bought in presentation boxes are for collection, but I've forgotten most of what I knew about Case knives. Another poster here is probably better qualified to answer.
Most all knives made shortly after WWII ( maybe pre '70 ?) and before were only made to use.

Thank you sir.

Here's an old Utica teardrop with excellent walk and talk .... and an off center shield. Still a worthy EDC . It arrived with an elevated pen blade that covered the long pull on the main blade and the exposed point made it risky to pocket carry. An easy fix as it turns out. I filed the kick 1mm and it settled in nicely. A first for me. Someone before me filed far too much of the kick in the wrong place. C'est la Vie

Jigged bone?

Picked up a worn-out Barlow with beautiful honey bone so I decided to get out all the original Remington for a group shoot.

M majorpain1 Thank you for sharing your wonderful collection with us all, always a pleasure to see! One day ( and I totally understand the amount of time it takes to take photos - especially when busy ) it would be great to see the blades! Boy! there's nothing quite like stunning old Jigged Bone is there? They sure knew how to do it right!
