thanks in advance!
Cal, this Ruana is pretty darned cool! Isn't it great that as time goes on, we look back at these Knives and appreciate them so much. Love this!We don't see older fixed blade knives here much. Here is a 1943/44 Rudy Ruana "square cut" 14B. About $4 back then. Now? Well....

It kinda looks like the original I*X*L bolster stamp was partially worn away from overzealous buffing, and someone did a poor job of hand engraving to "restore" it.greetings y'all, stepping out of my normal collection boundaries a bit of late and had a question.

If you don't mind my asking, is that your photo or from an ebay seller's listing? The red felt background raises red flags. You might want to ask in this thread:
I would like to start a new thread that hopefully gets pinned to allow people to learn about how to spot fake knives. There are a lot of fakes out there, and the fakers can be very creative, making it hard to spot sometimes. I want this thread to be a place where people can ask about specific knives, or to show some that are for sale on various platforms like ebay. My intent is not to deal spot or denigrate people; this should only be a place where people can show pictures and ask about a knife, or where people can show pictures and point out signs of fakes so that we can all learn...
