Here are 2 pretty rare Newark NJ marked knives. Cattle is Sterling Cutlery Co, first knife with this mark I’ve ever seen. The big Navy folder is a J. T. Mount Newark NJ.

I've had the Mount knife for years. I have a pearl 4 blade that has a cool etch that is marked JT Mount and have seen others. Never the Sterling though

I gotta say, other than the old knife boxes thread, this is one of my favorite threads. I love seeing the variety of old knives from decades (or even a century) ago. Always something new to look at.

Mike, galvanic1882 you have been posting some great stuff lately! Love the Cattaraugus sales book and the beautiful knives. Those two pearl 4 blades and the Utica with the abalone handles are really something.
In the theme of your boy's knives here is a Challenge, bang on 3", that I have had for awhile.

I don’t know anything about this one other than it’s a good-looking pruner made in Solingen per the pile side tang stamp. The show side stamp is SPI. The branded blade etch says “Emerald Leaf Jewel Foliage Co., San Antonio Texas” and a local zip code which is what prompted me to buy it. Google searching finds no record of that business and the few SA contracts I have don’t recall. It looks like one side of the scales may have been more exposed to sunlight because the two sides of the (possibly Rosewood?) handle are very different hues! It has a very strong pull.

Could have Mike, but Goins says he made knives. That doesn't mean F&L didn't make the knife. Electric knives became a name in 1905 after Mount stopped production. Lots of mysteries.

No that’s not correct, the Electric trademark was in use long before 1905.
