"Old Knives"

" Van Camp Hardware & Iron of Indianapolis, Indiana. 3 5/8" closed equal end jack, 1888 - 1960, nicely rounded and fluted iron bolsters, hammered pins.... approx. . 1920 or so. Brass liners & pins, single pinned shield, nicely jigged, German looking bone, half stops on both the spear and pen. Well used, carried and sharpened, but a fairly clean example of a somewhat scarce stamp. Shown alongside a 4 1/2" back pocket knife for scale. "

Thanks a lot guys :)

Hey Lyle, those Farmer Jacks of yours are great-looking knives. Do you mind me asking if they're all like that when you get them, or do you have to spend a lot of time on them to get them looking so great?

Jack ,I don't do anything but try to obliterate rust.Anything you do to them removes information, and I need all I can get.:) I'm not abject to fixing a loose pin(although I haven't had this done as yet) or fixing something mechanically wrong on one ,maybe .

Thanks for the info Lyle, you certainly find them in great shape from what I've seen. I might PM you over the next few days sir ;)

Nate, sorry I missed you,I like those old Bokers a lot.

I need one in a Wharcliffe frame.:)

This is a Remington R100 stock knife. 3 1/4" closed from 1930 or so. Would make a handy EDC knife.

here is one I received yesterday, a 4 bladed mother of pearl congress marked 'vom Cleff & Co.', which is apparently a New York distributor using Solingen knives. It is in unused condition, with some rust issues etc. the MOP is very nice, you cannot see the intricacy of it from the photos, but it is definitely real. I think it is worthy of inclusion in this thread, though I don't know what age it is. Any other infos would be appreciated.

not to be confused with my ultra-mini MOP congress from Vienna, which I already posted a thread on:
