"Old Knives"

Interesting shape to that Sheldon. Is the handle natural or synthetic?

I think that one is ivory. Very different to the knives of this type I remember as a kid, which were designed for working-men.

Very cool! I find the placement of the stop-pin quite interesting. Looks like it may pass through a curved slot in the tang....? Or something.
Thanks for posting this one!

That is pretty awesome Jason Thanks for adding it here.

" 2 3/4" closed, horn hafts, glaze finish blade, fluted iron bolsters, flush joint , all steel fittings, 1890 - 1920. Unused, uncarried. Along with black polished, two blade horn hafted Rodgers lambfoot seen here previously to illustrate blade difference. "

Very nice, Vince! Love it! What luck, to find one in such minty-fresh condition!
And, I really like the flush joint as well. Something I've been keeping an eye out for, for years, but haven't found one to add to my bunch yet. Flush joints are a sign of 'old world' quality (IMO).

Outstanding Vince

It's taken me long enough to find a pic of one, I was beginning to think I'd imagined this pattern! :D

Absolutely superb knives - what two greats!

A recent addition and a favorite. Remington R3113 Moose 3 7/8". Will probably carry this one on occasion.
