Neat old Robe Jeff. I'm a sucker for a nice (or not so nice) Robeson. That one is definitely nice.

---
BTW, I learned from a friend, this one is officially OK, it is between about 45-65 years old.

Here is one of my Robeson Shuredge OB (1911-1940). I know it is not the good looking jigged bone you folks are showing or the butter & molasses Jeff posted, but it is nice pearl.

I hate to interrupt all the gorgeous mother of pearl, but....
I just acquired my first Cattaraugus, and in searching for any information, I found this old post of yours, chuko

Here is another of my finds that I really like a Cattaraugus serpentine wharncliff pen knife with jigged bone. Near mint. Charles

Yours is as close to mine as I can find anywhere, and I was wondering if you would know, or would know how to find out how old it is. Pattern number 22156, ebony.

I ask because the knives on my desk are having an argument reguarding who is the oldest :D Thanks for any info.

I wish I could help with dating, but all I know is that the real Cattaraugus stopped production in 1963. The numbering system seemed the same throughout production, maybe someone else can help. Nice wharncliffe though.

Thanks for looking. When I find an old one, I can get a little obsessive with trying to figure the age.

Got this Remington R219 in today. Never been able to own one till now. Monster EO and snaps like a bear trap! About as HEAVY as a bear trap too.
