Thank you sir, a very generous gift from a valued friend :)

Fantastic job on that W Rodgers ADEE  I believe I have the same knife, but don't have a pic with me. The blades on mine are so worn, they are like two fence posts, and the nail nicks are rather shallow, but it's still a nice knife I think. Have to take pics when I get home.

Jack the KK is super and the Kelly is special. I have some of those(special ones).

Thank you sir :)

Thought I'd post pictures of this Cattaraugus whittler that I recently acquired. If anyone has any ideas about what the blade etch "HENSEL" is referring to, I'd be grateful for the feedback.

Thanks Jack. I look forward to seeing the two Wm Rodgers together. The blades on mine are .. er ... reduced somewhat.
I picked up a few interestiing items today inc another budding knife. Whilst you're there what is the scale material on the lovely slender and elegent KeenKutter that you posted a page or two back ?

My memory failed me again my friend, they're very similar, but different. We'll have to get them together

The covers on the KK Peanut are celluloid.

That sure is a beauty!! I have seen that one before - I guess you wanted it a little more than I did - but - now that I see it again - you did good.:D

Best regards,
Primble (storm5479)

Thanks Primble 😃 I just needed one more knife lol 😜 What caught my attention about the knife was the unique shaped logo. I've not seen this before. In addition, the logo is stamped which I prefer 👌Have a knife day🔪👍

Thanks Primble - I just needed one more knife

All of us here just need one more knife! :D:D:D

I really like the bone color and shape of the shield a lot - well - more than that - the whole knife!

I sincerely hope you enjoy the old beauty.:)

Here's a cute candy striped coke bottle. It's 4 1/2 inches long, made by the United Novelty Company, New York City. It's been rebuilt but the celluloid is beautiful and the blade is pretty full. I hope you like it.

The Camillus single-spring is mouth watering, not just the bone but the frame too (Sleeveboard??). The shield is rather similar to a current one on GEC's Houndstooth.

ADEE that Rodgers has horn scales of the highest quality and beauty, an enviable knife.

;)

I do indeed like your coke bottle. You say it was rebuilt - can you give more information on what was done to the old beauty - is the cellulose original or an acrylic replacement - just wondering?

It was covered in a presidential themed celluloid that was broken and faded. But the blade was pretty full so I took it apart and cleaned her up pollished her out replaced the celluloid with some new old stock that I got from Tony Bose. Then srcibed 8/14 and my initials on the inside of the liners and put her back together. My daughter loves it so I guess it goes to her someday.

Thought I'd share this one with you guys and gals. You may have noticed that my signature includes the following: "WTB: JBF Champlin Eureka Jack in Rosewood." I had stumbled across Blade Forums a few times, but hadn't found the Traditionals sub-forum until after I had discovered the Rosewood Champlin Eureka Jack and was desperately trying to find one. No luck on that front - yet ;) but a happy consequence of my quest was that I found this place and all of you. And while my quest to acquire my Grail Knife continues, I did manage to acquire this Hibbard, Spencer, Barlett & Co. OVB Eureka Jack that I've fallen head over heals for. Despite the fact that the seller mentioned it in his listing, it was only after I had purchased it that I noticed a reference to the JBF Champlin Eureka Jack being fashioned after aspects of three knives - one of which is this OVB (see post 5 in this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1029800-GEC-Champlin-Eureka-Jack). A much appreciated coincidence in my Grail quest.
