"Old Knives"

Hello I just bought this pocket knife. It nice but I think its original main blade and second blade is removed and not original. On the main blade is description Ellenville knife co. In document which I found about ellenville i think thT this knife is made between 1871 and1875 which is great. It is corect by your opi ion? Please excuse my english I am from Slovakia europe :o

Sorry .. I missed the picture.
Far from pristine ...

Love the handle shape on that one, very elegant. It's a real shame someone was so hard on that knife, she has aged well.

Just wanted to add to this already great thread an old knife I recently acquired. I believe this to be early 19th century (early 1800s) based on the hand threaded screws and threaded mechanism that retains the brass butt. It has a lignum vitae handle. In remarkable condition for it's age. Has anyone ever encountered one similar? All opinions are appreciated.

Jack, I'm just now late home from a 10 hour work day, but what a little gem the Oates is! I'm enthralled by the coined bolsters!!

Who is the maker of the two swing guards? I can see the Robeson( very nice) but the other two...just wow!! Can't quite make out the tang stamp on the stag rope knife on post 6232? Every one of those knives is a beauty! The medieval axe shields on those two knives are interesting and makes me wonder.

Randy, the botton knife of your second pic post, who is the maker? Looks quite german to me. I like the idea of these caliber knives for shotguns without ejectors.
