"Old Knives"

Here's a pre-1940 E.C. Simmons Bullet End Jack. Just got it today. Looks like it's never been used.

Thanks! I've been looking for this for a while now. Not this exact knife but something with everything this has. The quality and condition blew me away considering how old it is. It has excellent snap, half stops, both springs are flush in all 3 positions, blades are centered. It's every bit as nice as any new traditional I've bought.

Just gorgeous, Bill!! Thanks very much for the close-ups! I bet you will enjoy that one immensely. Congratulations on the find.

That is a beeeeautfiul knife, Bill! Firing on all cylinders! The blade centers perfectly in the well too.

Thanks everyone! I knew it was really nice but I didn't expect it to be this big of a hit. I had a customer offer to buy it yesterday as soon as I took it out of my pocket, lol. I'm starting to question my decision of carrying it and using it at work. I know it was made to be used but it's also a piece of history. Although it would be cool to use it and pass a 100+ year old knife that's been used down to one of my nephews in 30 or so years.

You will get a lot of offers on that knife, if you show it around. Hang on to it - for dear life !! ;):D

Bill, I'm late to the party (as is usual for me) but what an outstanding knife!!! A true gem:thumbup:
