If i could take pictures like some of those who post here, these knives would be "poppin' ". My pics have 'dulled' them down. Nuf excuses, here they are:
This is the "?". Might have been made by Henckels but is marked: J.S. Holler&Co. / Adolph Blaich / San Francisco and on the reverse side: logo arrow in an oval / Razor Steel / Germany on all 3 blades. From above picture you can see how thick the master blade stock is. This is why it could be Henckels made. They used thicker stock than any of the other vintage German folders i have or have seen. But, maybe there were others ?
Henckels 3 5/8" Serpentine Whittler with Stag ( "Henckels' Stag"). Powerful knife.
Henckels 3 1/2" Four Blade Senator, Pearl. This is where vintage German cutlery got close to vintage Sheffield. Difficult to date vintage Henckels knives as they made the same patterns, same markings, for many years, maybe 75 years or thereabouts. The original purse with this knife is also in top condition. These old purses did not hold up well, often the clasp hinge is broken, holes in leather, etc. so it is the exception to get one in such fine condition.
And here is the Mann, sweet 2 7/8" Serpentine Pen with Stag, made for Abercrombie & Fitch
