Bridge closed in 1931. I posted a thread with more pics...

Some really great knives shown recently and the two wonderful Bingham's models from V.P. and Gevonovich have prompted me to post one of mine.

That Bingham is fantastic, Herder! Interesting that it has a phillips driver!

I mentioned in a post awhile back that I was missing the 10OT Old Timer barlow from the set of Ulster knives available with the Prince Albert tobacco promotion. Fast forward a few days and a mysterious package showed up in my mailbox from our friend in Wisconsin, Kevin- veitsi_poika veitsi_poika . He mentioned that he had 2 of these Barlows and he felt this one belonged with me!
He said he kept the better one but, honestly, the one he sent me looks brand new! Obviously never sharpened and looks like it was never in a pocket. Barely a spot on it!

Kevin, thank you my friend! You are too kind! It was a wonderful surprise, a very nice gesture and is appreciated immensely.

A side note: This knife is ground sooo thin behind the edge I had to get out the calipers and measure it. .004-.007. It may not look fancy but it was built to cut!!

Thanks waynorth and Ramrodmb. Good catch on noticing the Philips driver bit Ramrodmb, as that is pretty uncommon for these type of humpback camper models.
Most of those models had corkscrews but Boker did offer a model with a Philips screwdriver, and may have been the company that produced this knife for Bingham's in the late 1940s.

Great to see that you received the final Ulster to complete the Prince Albert set. And way to go V.P. for gifting that knife!!!

My pleasure Mark :) Speaking of... do you have Prince Albert in a can?

Here is my latest pickup, it's not a folder as you can see. My first Scagel, I've wanted one of these for as long as I can remember. Lucky to have gotten it.
I got the knife yesterday and it is nicer then I thought. It's 11 1/4" over all and the blade is 6 3/8" measuring the top of the blade. Very small amount of pitting at the cutting edge on both sides but the rest is just staining. I love the darn thing!!

Mark, what a fantastic piece to complete the "trio":cool::thumbsup: I just completed my trio a few weeks back:thumbsup: What an awesome gift Kevin, good on you, karma out, karma in;)

Nice knives being posted everyone, having a pretty rough winter and have not been able to participate much but I have still been picking up vintage knives.

Couple of early Sheffield knives, a very large Taylor sportsman knife with a broken main blade and a WW1 gift box knife, maker is worn, could be Hedley,Medley, don't know, looked at under magnifying glass and still can't tell.

The Taylor Eye Witness is very large 4 3/4", probably the largest I've ever seen in this type of knife, also marked Taylor and not Taylors, not sure of the significance of that, great unbroken ivory handles.
