"Old Knives"

I can't get over that nice Ulster, Cal. So unusually constructed!! A really nice find!!

Here's a cool find, I've had for years! Time for a little recognition!!
A Clover Brand, by W.H.Morley & Sons, Germany; `1910 - 1927

The handles are pressed stag, and you can see the steel pins in Nickel Silver bolsters, typical of German construction at the time. Wonderful, firm Walk and Talk with half-stops, nice swedges, all tangs marked, with a stamped main blade!! No effort was spared to make a nice knife!! Reminds me of GEC's quality, if not better!!
Rattail main and squared bottom bolsters - what's not to love, in a gunstock Jack?? Please enjoy this old knife!!

Check, check and Check Charlie! That Knife ticks ALL the boxes my friend!
I kinda remember viewing that before? I'm not sure - but I don't think I would mind seeing that knife everyday!

Lovely Ulster whittler, tongueriver! I really like the master blade with the double pulls.
Beautiful Morley gunstock, Charlie! That one has a lot going for it. I really like the curved hotdog shield and the blade stamp in particular.
No new knives posted in this thread since Sunday, almost a week! Here is a humble offering, a Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co jack stamped OVB (our very best) on the master blade. It has seen some use, particularly the pen blade.

Like that one Dan, looks like may have been made by New York Knife Co.

Dan - that’s a real nice OVB my friend. I agree with good Ol Aug’s and say New York. A real head turner that one imo.

Augie matey. That NYK is gorgeous! What a knife!
That Keen Kutter is outstanding man! I bet it has Fan just drooling Over his keyboard let alone the rest of us!!!!

I’m still going back to look at Cals Whittler - that’s a nice knife!

Thank you for the kind comments Cal, Augie and Duncan. Two beautiful knives, Augie! Sellens says the Keen Kutter was in the catalogs between 1905 and 1920. According to the 1912 and 1917 Keen Kutter catalogs, in the Vintage Knife Catalogs sticky at the top of the Traditional Forums page, The K95 sold for $8.00 a dozen in 1912 and $10.50 a dozen in 1917. I really like the old ones with a pattern number etch! That one would make a nice addition to the Keen Kutter thread.

Quick question: Did those catalog prices from Keen Kutter, Schrade CutCo, et al reflect retail or wholesale prices? I think wholesale?

Thank you all for the comments. Dan thanks for all the information, appreciate it.
