Wow, I'm in the hospital a few months and this goes down? Sorry I'm late to the party but I ordered a knife from Oleg at around the same time frame as the OP did. USPS lost my blade (We confirmed this) and he also mentioned that several others were indeed lost in the mail. He informed me that he would give me my money back asap or he could just send me a nicer blade that he had posted for sale at the time. I opted for the other blade, all was well, I've been happy ever since...

While I understand it is no excuse, the guy doesn't speak very good English. And I'll admit, I didn't read this whole thread because I got tired of seeing "!!!" after every statement and I just blew it off as someone crazy mad and impatient over a few hundred bucks. Keep in mind, I did find that he's usually only at a computer a handful of times a day.

Also, how many knives did Oleg sell on here before the problem? And how many problems did he have before this? I don't remember any issues with him, and I saw dozens of his blades move to happy owners. One rough patch that hasn't even "really" been pinned as his fault shouldn't boot the guy, especially since he did one hell of a job making blades.

Do any of you have any experience getting money back from larger companies? I've had that stuff take weeks, months sometimes... you don't see them getting crucified...

Perhaps you should've read the entire thread before making commentary. This wasnt the first instance of poor behavior on the part of Mr.Krymlin...only his last.

Okay, I read the whole thread, as well as the other one. All I'm getting is that both of the buyers were extremely childish, one of which Oleg did, in fact give a refund to and something about Oleg claiming a dispute with paypal to get the money back (which, in my eyes, was never proven as so.) In which it was then turned between the buyer and his own CC company, so by that point Oleg should have been out of the question at all.

Look, I'm really not trying to take Oleg's side on this, but the facts against him aren't clearly stated enough to fully ban him... If you like I can post my e-mail conversations that I had with him when my blade got lost and he resolved my case without question. On top of that, my blade was ordered at about the same time as both of the other poster's were.

From what I can gather he still makes, and sells numerous knives to satisfied customers. I doubt that's any coincidence...

I could dig up all the reasons why he was banned, but that would be as pointless as you posting your emails now, after the fact.
We don't just ban a paying member for no reason. it's good he's doing well....elsewhere.

Here's the bottom line. Oleg promised me by certain time that he would refund me and I would forward the refund to the original purchaser since they couldn't work it out themselves. He failed and was ultimately banned for that.

What a tragedy this thread is/was. I can't believe this Oleg had these problems going on and was still ABLE TO LIST knives for sale on the forums. Not cool at all!
This gives other thieves the idea that this place is easy to scam people. Pretty scary if you ask me.
Of course all this is JMO. I really hope those who read this will use greater judgement when buying here. If there's a red flag stay away from that person.
Best of luck to all you buyers out there, and thank you to all the honest and great sellers out there!

Can you elaborate a little more?Do you have any suggestions on how this situation could have been handled better?

Do you think it's ok for someone who is under so much scrutiny for thieving someone's money be allowed to continually post knives for sale?

I sure don't and I'm just expressing my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

Where do you get the impression that he was allowed to sell after issues arose?

See post # 11,16,30,31,38 to name a few.
Am I mistaken and he did not post any new knives since the time of said incident?
Pretty clear to me that this thief was still operating his scams here.

You need to read the entire thread again if that is how you view this. Also it would be nice if you had a little more time under your belt here to see how things work here.

This situation was extremely difficult because both the buyer and seller would not or could not cooperate with each other.Ultimately OK chose not to give the refund and was therefore banned. But I certainly don't think all the blame should lie on him when you can't get the mailing address to send a refund. Nor did boki ever provide me with his Paypal address after multiple times asking for it in the event I did get the refund. The problem with banning someone immediately after a problem arises is that gives them no motivation to make right.

Just because I have 100 posts doesn't mean I haven't been around long. You shouldn't be so quick to criticize.
And who said anything about banning? You could of told said thief that until he cleared up the situation he can no longer post new knives for sale.

Trust me, this isn't my first rodeo. I've seen plenty of BS threads.

Like I said, this is MY opinion.

Doesn't matter what I say, you will handle the situation how you want. Doesn't mean I can't have my own opinion.
Sounds to me you just want to have a pi$$in* contest. No sweat off my back. Just don't go deleting my posts. The people here have a right to see everything. (So long as the language is acceptable, which of mine is).

First it was not a criticism, it was an observation. As I said before initially it wasn't just OK being at fault. If you can't see that boki was extremely difficult and that was certainly not helping the situation.

I don't want to have a pissing contest with anyone, especially about this as I have wasted enough of my own time. Just unsure why you decided to bump up a thread basically criticizing the way that I handled it.

Oleg was told he couldn't put anything else for sale while this dispute was being resolved. I personally locked several of his threads and issued him a couple of infractions for it. No that I have to explain this to you, but you seem to have some kind of agenda here. Am I wrong?

As far as Boki is concerned, he was just not capable of replying in a calm and rational way, even with the people trying to help him. Each of his replies came across as if he was smashing the keyboard like the angry German kid while having a meltdown. Requests for his cooperation in this thread and via private means were met in a similar fashion. I think the term I am looking for is clusterf***.

Secondly, this forum is meant for members to air their grievances against or sing the praises of other members. We are not obligated in any way to intervene in one direction or another. We do it out of respect for the community and the membership at large here, which is why the owner and other longstanding mods believed we could do the job effectively, and we have in my humble opinion. Now if you actually have something of relevance to contribute, rather than dredging up the ghosts of scammers past, let me know and I'll gladly consider reopening this thread.
