On Playing Wordle . . .

Today was interesting. On the third guess I had all five letters correct . . . with literally NONE of them in the right position. LOL. An anagram of the correct word - and one with every letter in a different position. Thought about it a second, then got it on the 4th guess.

Good guess!

FWIW, I've been in the same situation with some random "practice" games and, when I was lazy I just used an "Unscambler" app that is most commonly used by Scrabble players.

I've seen those suggested on the Net as the 1st 2 words.

I've always been using ADIEU as the 1st word. Just started using STORY as the 2nd word, which has helped me solve 2 of the last 3 puzzles in 3.
 
Words with low-usage percentage letters kill me. Like SWILL. I tried SKILL and SPILL, then ran out of turns.

Yeah, I hate those kind of words too because I seldom pick the "right" variation of the word on the 1st or 2nd try.

I got SKILL and STILL on the 3rd/4th tries before I got SWILL on the 5th but there have been other words like that where I failed to get it in 6. :(

Same first two words here.

Saw someone mention AEROS. If you're going that way, I wonder which is more likely to give you a letter initially in the correct position: AEROS or AROSE.

Ah...but that combo isn't allowed if you play on "hard mode". ;)
