The Tanto is a fantastic model, one that has eluded me so far (not many have).I recently saw a picture of the Emerson Tanto, and it caught my eye. It looks a lot sleeker than a lot of Emerson's other offerings.

But I am wondering what does a CQC-6 go for today? That seems to be everyones grail.
I know of one for sale online for 8K. But it's a black blade, black micarta, flipper/wave version. So maybe that makes it even more expensive. I prefer the more standard builds. On the secondary market it's basically the same price as a Rolex. There is a guy local to me that has one and wants to trade it for my watch... for a second I thought about it, lol. Then I gave my head a shake, but that's what they're going for. It's crazy.
Got it in the mail today. It is indeed QUITE pointy.I had a Bandito de le muerte; it was a pointy little bugger.
Just found some pictures of this one. The customs are stunning. The Tanto is a fantastic model, one that has eluded me so far (not many have).
Totally agree - much more distinctive than the productions. Svelte handle looks great bolstered.Just found some pictures of this one. The customs are stunning.
Damn, That's Nice.
Yup, Emerson knife porn - right there on your monitor ladies and gentlemen!
If you ever want to sell, trade, barter that knife please contact me.I was actually looking for a 7 when I got this one but they can be almost as hard to find at a decent price as a 6. I bought the Tanto knowing nothing about it but ended up liking it a lot. It feels similar to an A100.
On average, between 3 & 4K, but can go higher for rarer versions.I am looking for a MINI A-100.

Well, don't keep us in suspense for forever. You'll have to let us know what it is later after you familiarize yourself with it.My next is on a FedEx truck today. Never had this model before, so I'm looking forward to signing that little touchscreen.
I'm looking at it now, and I do like it. I just thought I'd like it more. It is chisel ground, tanto tipped, thick - which are a couple of my sweet spots. But it feels awkward. And the Kwaiken is slender, trailing point-ish - not my favorite things. But the Kwaiken just feels better in hand. It's likely why it is now a production knife. The Mutant has interested me for some time. What about it did you less favor?
Well, on that last point I completely understand and agree. I also think the Tanto should be a regular production model as well.I'm looking at it now, and I do like it.
