On the Road Again with Merle

Nothing against the fish but I am partial to Blazey. Looks like a great visit so far.
On the bike path from the fairgrounds out toward Fern Ridge Reservoir there are a couple of those giant concrete blocks on the junction boxes for the path lighting to keep copper thieves from pulling the wire for the lighting. Both painted purple, both with Blazey’s name on them, one of them says Blazey’s throne. Not sure what Blazey’s pronouns are, but Blazey can often be found holding court there, and has an unknown number of subjects keeping food and water set out. I get the impression Blazey has a house nearby, not sure. Super friendly cat, not at all intimidated by Pebbles. A couple more pics from that day. 19FFE672-121D-49AE-9E6C-AD036CE45976.jpeg244D9E02-F377-48AC-AD90-20BB1C61540A.jpeg

Man you gotta touch up those toenails if you're gonna show your feet in the knife pics!

I notice the color is very suspich-ious. Are you perhaps the masked artist himself?

Also, nice to know where to pick up some jive parsley if I am ever in Eugene. Still illegal here.

The pedi is pretty ragged, I think it’s from September. Definitely has not made my IG feed in months.

I guess you haven’t seen me use a can of spray paint, that’s a good bit beyond my abilities.

Oh, you don’t have to go far, wherever you are in town.

Merle and I are nose to the grindstone again today, plumbing a Habitat For Humanity build. I’ve been doing the plumbing for the local chapter since my apprenticeship. A6DED52B-E322-4D42-B032-FA5F38F45147.jpeg16582E5F-8374-457E-9BCB-1067DEDC9227.jpeg

Thanks for the Blazey photos. I thought Blazey was yours. Agree on house nearby, based on collar

Digging back into the backlog of pictures I didn’t get posted over the holiday, Merle helped me cook dinner on a very special day. Turned out to be my second favorite Holiday Bowl ever.

Getting Merle down the road here real soon. Haven’t been doing dry January or anything, but not much time to sit back and enjoy when you’re chasing a sixteen month old around. Michael is with his Oma for a few more minutes, he has been spending Tuesdays with her for months, but now they’re starting a music class Tuesday nights at church, so he’s not home before I get home from work.

Anyway, thought I’d reach back in the cupboard and get ol’ Merle a taste. 5827FB18-DCC5-4653-AB95-E51603E77767.jpeg
