ONE EDC Knife To Carry Indefinitely

If you could have only one modern folder folder to carry for EDC, what would it be and why?

I would pick my CRK Umnumzaan because it has a thin edge, it's comfortable, and I just love it.

Victorinox Alox Cadet. Does what I need it to do, flat, lightweight, has other useful tools.

I would have to go with my Lone Wolf T2 Ranger in Walnut scales, because I just absolutely love the thing. The handle just melts into my hand, and it accommodates the way that I have to adjust my grip wonderfully. It is pretty, especially with the walnut scales. And the full flat grind makes the blade just fantastically versatile for my purposes. The jimping is grippy. The ergonomics of the knife make it a pleasure to use.

I like the knife so much that I do silly things like prep whole meals with my folder and photograph it.

If we can count multi tools- leatherman wave- it does everything and it was a Christmas present from the girlfriend.

Or Benchmade Grip- sharp, good ergos, doesn't freak out my coworkers as much, and just simple and awesome. And it was a birthday present from my girlfriend so it's got good memories with it.

Or my Emerson Journeyman that's on the way-I can't answer why on that yet but I have a feeling I'll love it.

Buck 110. If I had to carry "indefinitely", this is the one. Buck will still be making them a hundred years from now, so getting new blades when the old one finally wears out won't be a problem. Granted, the 110's not the "favor of the month" knife here (forum-wise and for me too), but it gets the job done.

Hmmmm....
The easy answer would be my ZT0200, because I've been carrying it continuously for about 2 yrs. There have been days that I've intentionally pocketed a different knife; but I've always stuck the 0200 in another pocket, my jacket, or my pack.
That said, if I was going to commit to carrying a single knife for who knows how long, it would probably be my ZT0801BW. I've got better looking knives, knives with "better" steel, more comfortable knives, etc; but the 0801BW was a must have as soon as I saw it. Love at first sight, if you will.

I'm finally at a point where I can answer this popular question. The ZT 0562 is perfect for me. Carries great, hand filling enough for extended use, great materials, great looks, good grind, and built well enough that it has eaten everything I've thrown at it. Earlier today, I had to deface some dead inventory for LP purposes. Vinyl, foam, plastic, bound paper, and a lot of cardboard afterward. Still vault-tight, still sharp, still no play. This knife is as close to perfect for me as it gets.

Horrible consideration, but right now if it had to be just one, it'd be this;

It ain't pretty (although it has really grown on me), it ain't fancy, it ain't flashy but it works and it works hard. That and it sharpens up easily and covers almost every need I can think of for a folder...

@snooka that's a sick handle you got there, I hate the delica for it's frn, mind telling me where to get the handle?

I have a giant heap of knives that are more expensive, but my happy place is still the first Southard collaboration Spyderco knife, so this is an easy question for me. Like most days, I'd grab a Southard like this one:

I'd have to go with my Leatherman Charge Tti but it thy're excluded I just love my Benchmade 586-I immediately replaced my 585 with it when I lost it.

ZT 0561

It's been with me through quite a bit, never let me down.

Zero tolerance 0808

Love the blade shape. Love the all metal construction. Love the warranty.

This. Not many people understand what EDC means, and have recreated a definition for it. The only time I don't have my Alox Cadet on me, is if my pants are off.

Small Sebenza Classic. Still mourning the loss of mine after decades of carry. Beat on mercilessly and rock solid till the day she went MIA. I'd love to be able to say a Buck 110, but each and everyone I have ever had came with or developed unacceptable blade play very quickly. You definitely do get what you pay for most of the time in this hobby of ours.
