ONE EDC Knife To Carry Indefinitely

For me a very easy question with a very easy (and for some very boring) answer:

A/any Spyderco Military.

Have been EDC'ing one for more than eight years now I think.

Why? 4" FFG slicer with a gigantic handle at a lousy 4.2 oz, big Spydie hole as most easy opening mechanism, not too thick so it actually cuts and with a superior pocket clip.

Also, in real life, there hasn't been a single folder who could kick it out of my right back pocket yet. Sold a Horseman, Lone Wolf Longhorn and a Wilson Tactical EX-01 among others because of that. My pimped Kwaiken Midtech is collecting dust most of the time because of being way too thick for actually cutting stuff.

At this particular point in my life if I had to choose between one knife for EDC it would be a modified Buck 110. I'd need it to be one hand open and readily accessible so it would get a thumb stud and clip put on it. I'd choose the 110 because if I'm only carrying one knife ever then it needs to be cheap enough for me to be willing to use it for what'd inevitably be needing it for. If it broke, $30 plus swapping the add-ons and I'm back in business. I'd actually rather go with a two blade Case folding hunter so I'd have two blades, but I want it to lock. I've had a 110 for enough years to trust it with my life and its got a styling I am very fond of. Mine have only developed lockup issues after years of hard use, so for me the 110 is all good.

All this being said, I recently found a knife that might overshadow my love for the venerable 110 once I get to know it and trust it better, the Cold Steel Lone Star Hunter. So far its proving to be one heck of a knife. Time will tell.

Part of me says that faced with this decision, I'd probably sell a gun and buy a Sebenza, but Sebenza or not I have no experience with them. I'd rather go with something I already know and trust. One day I'll own one and my opinions will probably change, from everything I've heard about them.

My Emerson satin serrated CQC15 or my Sebenza 25 micarta. Be a tough choice, and it would probably be the CQC15.

Another 0562 vote. Its a great size, practical blade shape, excellent construction and a joy to use. If my 0562 wasn't available, I would have to pick either my benchmade 950 or PM2, my now dethroned edc go to knives.

like many others, i can't or don't just edc one knife. i work in SF in a corp office so large blade knives don't make it in my collection. these are in my current rotation - i have a penchant for japanese made lockbacks.....top to bottom:
moki blakiston's fish owl knife, kershaw corral creek (discontinued japan stamp), spyderco calypso jr (also discontinued) and spyderco dragonfly 2 - somehow, this one has become a frequent carry since i paired it with a landyard.

Camillus "Demo" knife or Rough Rider/Marbles Scout knife, or SAK Super Tinker.
If single blade is the only acceptable option, then a Buck 110 type lockback.

Spyderco Stretch ZDP-189. Of the dozen or so premium knives I own, the Stretch is in my pocket >90% of the time

Why fixed? I'm horrible person with tendency to destroy screws in folding knives.

As a folder, Spyderco Manix 2 LW ......light as a feather and cuts everything. Fixed would be a BUSSE Mean Street.
