I will be out of commission for awhile . Going in for emergency eye surgery . I have a complete retina detachment in my left eye . If all goes ok , then only a slight lost of vision . If I lose the eye then I will be a one eyed knife maker and will have to change my mark . Heck , I'll save money on my eye glass prescription , will only need one lens . :D One must always keep a sense of humor around them .

Charles Sauer has one eye and he makes great knives. One of my friends is an old engraver and has one eye. Does beautiful work.
You wont need to worry because you can be fixed, they couldnt. Prayer sent anyway.
Just dont move when the doctor says "hold still"

Best wishes Jack, I hope you get to keep you vision. Prayers from S Texas buddy.

Does having a bad astigmatism (everything's blurry) in one eye and not the other count for anything?

And good luck!

i'm bout down to one eye myself.LOL C.P.E.O.
so i know where you are with this.
you'll be fine, great doctors can do fantastic work..

it is a wonderful thing, eyesight.

i am glad i can see something.
been getting a little tough to read late in the evening like i have for forty years,
but as long as i can see something, i'm thrilled
buzz

well wishes
we knife makers can over come any thing if we think hard enough about it
but heres to an OP that all goes well

Jack, not a lot of years ago there wasn't much the doctors could do. Today they can work miracles. I just had a macular hole repaired in my right eye and the results are spectacular. I have my sight back. I wish you the same success with your eye.
