one eyed knifemakers ?

Good luck, Jack. Hope all goes well.

You're not having this done at St. Johns in Longview, are you? Not sure I'd take my dog to them.

Sorry to hear of the of the physical problem, but a I sense that the emotional and spiritual bases are more than covered...you have people out here praying for ya".
Good luck, and good sight.

Best wishes Jack! Docs can do wonders and I'm praying that yours has a steady hand!

My ex father in law lost one eye as a kid and then got a detached retina. They fixed him right up. They are very good at this and I wish you the best. You can overcome anyway. Jim

Good luck.:D:thumbup: I had that problem in both of my eyes and they are fine now. I just lost some of my peripheral vision.

Down in Portland Mike , don't know if that is much better than Longview but will find out today at 1:00.

Thanks everyone for the best wishes , prayers and smoke . You all are a great bunch of people . If I lose my eye my knife prices are going up :D

Dang Jack I hate to hear that. So those floaters were for real a couple of weeks ago. Hang in there, my wife and I will keep you in our prayers.

Best of luck for a speedy recovery. If you end up having to lay face-down for two weeks like my coworker did, the worst part of your recovery will be boredom!

Keep a close watch (no pun intended) on your GOOD eye after your recovery. The coworker mentioned above has had multiple detachments in BOTH eyes. Only the first had a "trigger"--a racquetball accident with his right eye. Years (decades!) later he started having detachments in his left. Thanks to science and lasers he can still see.

Hey Jack,

Good luck brother, Hope every thing comes out OK.
If not, just think how cool you will look in an eye patch.;)
All jokes aside, get well soon.

Greg
