It just makes me sick that I was unable to get the Demko American Lawman back this past spring, but those hospital folks are serious about getting their money!

I have this one coming tomorrow and I'm hoping that it may turn out to be that "one"!:D

Got this one today, and so far it is looking like it could be the one!;) At least until I get my next knife.

I'm going to go against the tactical/modern grain. I'd go with something like this:

XM-18 3.5" or XM-24, both folding tanks. I would go with the 24 as its just plain awsome

Hi Smitty -

I would have to take my Vic Waiter, since that is the one knife I have had in my pocket no matter what is clipped in the other pocket.

Bottle opener, screwdriver, corkscrew, tweezers, toothpick and a spear-point blade of stainless all in a very small, lightweight package.

best regards -

Most of my EDCs these days are traditional slipjoints, but if I had to pick one all around knife for the rest of my life, I'd probably go with my Todd Begg Gent's Glimpse - not too big; not too small; versatile modified Wharnie blade profile; superb ergos; reliable materials; strong and lightweight, and elegant looks.

I can only speak of the knives that I have handled or owned.

So I would go with a small sebenza 21, buy some nice waterstones and call it a day.

I had one of those but it was way off center even when the pivot screw was cranked down hard. The Teflon washers weren't very awe inspiring also. But.. the blade shape was very nice and the handle felt great in the hand and it was light as a feather.
Maybe you could have sent it back to Benchmade and see if they could have made it right?

For $750 I expect that you can find a Rockstead. These among the finest (and highest performing) knives I've ever inspected:

I'd just carry some kind of Spyderco, and stick the remaining $675 in a Vanguard Index 500 fund.

In 30 years, I'll be playing with 2 bikini chicks on a cigarette racing boat in the Meditteranean, while you guys are playing with your beater damascus Sebenzas.

Custom Demko Lawman...it's the knife the cockroaches will be using after we are all long dead. The Folder Of The Apocalypse. The One Knife.

When Chuck Norris looks at this knife, HE opens.
