One more folder and I think I am done

After many years of collecting, owning now over130 folders 75 fixed and or kitchen knives, 65 manufacturers, made with at least 60 different steels, way too many multi-tools and saks. I want just one more knife, sell a few and then I think I am done collecting. I can only use so many in my rotation and even with whatever latest drop that shows up, I find I do not want anything else. Not saying there not a lot of other great knives out there just that I am good with where I am at.

In the same boat here. Trying to make up my mind which ones to keep and whittle my folders down to under 10 total. I mean then if I find something new I like, I’ll still buy it but make myself sell one of the others if it’s a keeper.

There for a while my accumulation was so “fluid” that I’d be receiving the next one before getting to bond at all with the last one.

I opened my eyes one day and found myself with a lot of stuff I’d either forgotten I had, or hadn’t tried out or even fully acknowledged.

Made me feel like an old lady watching QVC, getting duped into all the new hotness that popped up.

Haven’t been there in years. My main problem now is I’m interested in a lot of discontinued old stuff that I spend years looking for.

It’s nice to not want anything else. It’s good to enjoy what you have. No shame in that whatsoever.

It's been nearly a year since I've purchased a knife, and honestly, I'm quite happy with my small collection of 20ish folders and 2 fixed blades.

I've become exceedingly picky and eccentric with knife preferences, and most of my purchases over the last few years (that I've kept) have been between $400 and $1000.

I was already becoming less interested in acquiring when my life massively changed this past August.

LOL I must say this every week. Then I realize I don't have a Hinderer. I need at least one XM Wharnie & Ooooh that bowie blade is sweet too! I need at least one more CRK, a nice tanto because I love the way they do them. Hmmm I just realized I don't have any Les George knives either. 🤔 It's always an uphill battle with my mind, regarding this hobby.

I've had to throttle back temporarily and am enjoying what I have with a new one every month or two.

As long as I stay out of the drop lists, pre-order lists and especially the exchange, I'm good. If I wonder in there, I fall off the wagon every single time.

Once the leash comes off. I fully intend to make up for the lost time. USPS should start hiring now. lol

With you. I've got 2 on preorder, and my eye only like 3-4 more, but after that I am D-U-N, done.

Then I'll probly go back to weird fantasy axes or something.
