Okay, I'm still trying to decide what my next custom 110 will be, and I'm thinking that I want to go with the Koa Flamewood or the walnut....but, I can't help but to be curious of the Indigo Royalwood.

Does anyone have a nice close-up picture of the Indigo?
With nickle-silver bolsters if possible.

Thanks in advance,
Allen.

This is a pic I received awhile ago from our BuckBro ZZJake.
I miss that guy...guess he's busy and I hope all is well.
IIRC, it is a 110DM, Indigo, with Brass (at first I thought it was NS, but he wrote an advised me otherwise).

Why do I think that Buck 110 has one of these...

Maybe he will Jump in...

Oh I learn something new here everyday 110. Are you saying that second character in the "Dx" designation relates to the the scales?
I had thought "DM" simply meant "DaMascus".

Goose, thanks for the picture.
I'm nearly certain that my next Custom 110 will be with the indigo scales.

Allen.

Buckaholic:

It certainly does! I do wish I knew "exactly" what the "M" really means on the 110DM however. The DM has sambar stag scales. Ya think "M" might stand for mountain stag or somethng?

"DaMascus"...LOL! Damascus is in Syria; where the steel has its origins.

Actually, "orgin" being the key word, that is one theory.
In India and other parts of asia, in 300 BC, they used wootz steel. The technique ended up in the mid-east around 900-100AD and was improved upon using local steel.

What the "M" means? Hell, I can't even figure out the numbering scheme.
Why do they reuse model numbers? (asked in another post).
The mystique and mystery of Buck.

Buck_110, I will be posting pics of a just purchased 110DM tonite. I am unhappy with the condition of the knife, hoping for a safe Queen based on the advertised specs on the knife, it is pretty rough in my opinion.:( The stag has green growing along the liners, the bolsters are marred, and the blade is somewhat scratched although the damascus is beautiful. If I remember correctly the blade shows a "V", so according to your specs posted this could be a vintage 1988/89 knife. The seller has agreed to refund my full purchase price less shipping. :o Like I said, I was hoping for a safe queen and I think I got someone's user from years ago but being a newbie:o to collecting I am going to rely on members here at the Forum to tell me what you all think I have. :o

HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YA DON'T EAT YOUR MEAT???

Hey HowDown, I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a Dam today. What the hell, I got about six months before I gotta chip in for Mav's flight. Why let John build interest on my whopping contribution before that? :D ;)
Thinking, oh, $75 shipped. LOL.

I'M JUST KIDDING!!!! (about the $75...but not kidding about the "meat". The esteemed Idependent Quality Consultants and outcasts from the "Antique Road Show" will help ya -pudding-when they see the pics -meat- :))
