Well, I decided to give One stop knives a shot and ordered several items. First of all when you order and AFTER you give them all your info , credit # , etc. , you have to wait a couple of days only to find out that everything I ordered was on back order for a month!:thumbdn:
When I call to find out what was up, they were extremely rude and could not care less that this is unacceptable busness practice.:grumpy:There is nothing worse than a company that will not disclose the item availibility until after you order. My friend is leaving for another country and I needed to get him some gear., tools, knives.
So now I had to research another company and get the items expressed to me becuase of the wasted time.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSNESS with One Stop Knife shop.

What items did you order that were out of stock?

edit: Also, this is the wrong forum. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is what you want. I'm sure a moderator is going to fly in shortly and take care of you, anyway.

Welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear about the bad service.

Shame your first post has to be a gripe , but while your here introduce yourself and stay awhile:thumbup:

That's BS in my book too bro-when your giving them business for one-trying to help your buddy- and sounds like their CS stinks. Maybe someone from BF can help you out considering I thought-same owners as here. My facts may be incorrect- and it is actually irrelevant- but you never know if someone can right the ship somehow. GL bro.

Spark owns both BFC and 1SKS.

Not really buying the OP. Kevin isn't exactly Mr. Sunshine and may be blunt at times, but he bends over backwards to make customers happy if they have an issue.

Meh, if the man has a complaint let him air it, it's only fair. Doesn't matter who the vendor is, you have that right. That said, the buyer needs to be fair too... people make mistakes, I'm currently getting one corrected myself, it happens. Best not to harp on it and stick to the facts. They'll speak for themselves.

OK guys, I'll intro my self. I have been a big fan of this site for awhile. I am just so busy with school, (42 yrs old going back to college) that I rarly have time for forum discussion.
I guess the situation got me pretty frustrated and thus gave me the extra energy to post. But first post being a complaint is kinda lame I guess...
I got to hand it to you guys, I have never seen so much great info like this, and it seems I could read the old posts forever and still be interested in reading you're cintributions to this great site.
I will definately make an effort to make positive contributions in the future.
Regardless, I am still not happy with OSNS!

Welcome! I understand how you feel. Last month I learned of some Black Victorinox Cadets being available and I ordered a pair from a website which showed them listed as in stock. I think they only ship within the US (or shipping to Canada is too expensive, can't remember what the reason was now) so I arranged to have them ship to my mom in the US. Only afterwards did they email me advising that the product won't be available until some time in June. I asked them why they were listing it as available and the response was, and I quote, "We share certain items on multiple websites and do not have the capability to synchronize the availability of our stock for that reason."

They gave me the option to cancel but I decided to keep the order and wait it out. I just hate it when they do that kind of thing though.

I do wish all internet vendors could tie real-time inventory to their website.
Not possible for some, but it would be nice. And still not perfect, but better than backorders.

I agree, it does drive you crazy when that happens, at least places could tell you availability at the payment screen, then you can choose if you want to wait or not.
As far as 1SKS being rude, that shocks me. Kevin can be blunt and to the point but has always been a great business owner and customer service provider

This annoyed me when I was browsing them. They list a bunch of discontinued Cold Steel stuff that appears to be in stock, but I sincerely doubt they still actually have any of it, let alone all of it. I shouldn't have to place an order or call them to figure it out. Live inventory is one of the most important things a retail site can have next to good prices and quality customer service. Otherwise I'm just wasting my time browsing and getting excited over stuff they can't actually sell me. I might as well be looking at a knife picture archive.

Just curious - has anyone actually e-mailed a link to this page to Spark so he can respond, or is everyone just hoping that maybe somewhere in his busy schedule he'll find the time to stumble upon it?

You should have ordered a $1200 Razr from J. Lightning. Then you wouldn't ever need another knife because it's the most original and superior blade available with it's triple heat-treat and super tactical para-cord wrapped handle. It will slice through diamonds with the slightest touch. I looked at it wrong and started bleeding once.
