One thing that's locking up my IE6....

One thing that I'm finding is locking up my IE6 is Rat Finklestein's "chicletsforme.jpg" image that's a part of his signature, apparently since the removal of the reputation point system. The image is having trouble completing it's loading, and this difficulty is exacerbated when there's more than one Rat Finklestein post in a thread. If the "chicletsforme.jpg" image doesn't fully load, then my IE6 is frozen, if it loads fine, then my IE6 doesn't freeze. I guess that the loading/nonloading of the "chicletsforme.jpg" image could be a result of the host where the image is kept...and I haven't any idea why a slow or non-loading image should have the ability to freeze IE6.

I apologize for having a single typo in the spelling of your pseudonym. If only that were as bad as freezing browsers for nonsense. :)

That "nonsense" you speak of is my "signature"- a perk only available to supporting members. :rolleyes:
If your browser cant load a simple picture you must have some deeper issues- maybe spyware & viruses (something IE is notorious for) Or maybe your computer is infected with the very same chiclet envy you suffer from? :D

Your signature is nonsense. As far as chiclet envy is concerned, it's your signature that's showing how much you're missing them. See, now you're making me tear up. :rolleyes: At least when I post photos, they don't crash browsers, any of them.

Even without chiclets, you have to find something to whine about. :rolleyes: Dont cry about your inability to keep your computer functioning. It most likely stems from your continuing visitations to unsavory adult websites featuring "alternative lifestyles".

Despite your lack-luster attempt, you dont have a signature there, as only paying members can display signatures. If I wanted I could post a "fake"signature in addition to my "real" signature. Like so:

All that I did was come to BladeForums Service & Support to report something occuring at BladeForums that was freezing my browser. I wasn't whining, just making a statement of fact. I'm sorry that your example of chiclet envy is freezing people's browsers, but, you want to keep it as your signature, despite chiclets not existing anymore.

You shouldn't be living in the past. Your kiss-up days for chiclets are over. Just let it go and wipe that brown stuff off your nose. Chiclet whores no longer exist at BladeForums, but you probably missed the memo.

Sorry that you and Rat have to jump into civil, polite discussions and start throwing insults, but, well, that's what I've come to expect from Rat and the Pirate's Cove. Now that you've lost the Pirate's Cove cowardly means of showering red chiclets, anonymously, I guess that you'll have to post your attacks.

Who "fired the first shot" in this becoming a non-civil and non-polite discussion? The Rat that has the signature that freezes browsers. So, if you want to find the "prick," look to who began the insults.

I guess that the rest of the Pirate's Cove will now come here and start throwing insults, too. Yippee.

Same thing for me - If it's happening for both of us I'm sure others are affected as well.

And, that signature is nonsense.
You chiclet guys lost. Everybody sees you guys as the chiclet whores you are / were.
 
I've been trying to figure out why Rat's sig only freezes Geothorn's browser and nobody else's. I think Rat is using a parabolic reflector made of aluminum foil to focus and direct the harmful sig rays at Geothorn. The next step is to develop countermeasures....
 
Geo .... all "pirating" aside, I think you are being a bit contentious. The locking up problem only seems to be with you. I have IE6 & Rat doesn't lock me up at all. I don't hear anyone else saying they have the same problem (Rat's sig causing lockup), so maybe something's amiss on your end. Maybe? I don't know enough about computers to offer anything else meaningful, so back in my hole I go! :)

POSTS CROSSED! I SEE SOMEONE ELSE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. I'm buttin' out of this thread! :o
